the Hecatoncheires were figures in Greek mythos. Although i find it interesting that you know enough about the mythology to pick out Hecate as a figure, she was a pagan goddess.

i don't mean to upset you, i'm sure you're a great person/devoted wife/loving mother, but when your religion advocates hatred i find it extremely difficult to respect you. and this site represents, includes, and advocates all that has ever driven me away from christianity.

Um, you mean the Bible, the foundational document of Christianity?

We represent, include, and advocate following the entire Bible, as God commands. If you don't want to do the same, then you reject God.

i'm sure you're a sweet person, but somebody hurt you didn't they? be it a former lover, parent, or friend, you were hurt. that's why you embrace this facist sect of christianity isn't it?

i genuinely hope that you find happiness, and, for what it's worth, i will be praying for you in my way.

and i visited because in writing a literary criticism of the taming of the shrew for a local paper i found this site as an example of modern sexism. the rihanna article in the 'men only' section terrified me.

Perhaps you should try reading the Bible, instead of claiming that we do not follow Christianity.

Either you follow God's Law, or you do not. The Bible does not have any "optional" sections.

i'm a proud pagan, i draw from the bible yes, but also the gnostic writings, the talmud, the eight fold path, the quoran, and ennumerable other texts, including the book of the mad arab.

Oh, so you are one of those fluffy bunny "eclectic pagans", superstitious fools who think they can grab a little bit of each religion and decide what they like.

Tell me, which one of those religious texts tells you that you can use bits and pieces of it, and ignore the rest? Do they not all say they are the one and only way?

It seems to me that you then risk alienating every one of those "gods", instead of perhaps being incorrect yet sincere and possibly garnering a modicum of respect from God when you are proven wrong (and cast into Hell). No, you're just a dilettante.

You worship your own imagination of what a god should be. That means you worship yourself, because you pattern your deity after yourself.

Why not be intellectually honest? You can be a LaVeyan Satanist (they worship themselves as gods, as compared to Luciferians, who worship the angel God cast from Heaven), or a secular humanist. But calling yourself anything else would be a lie.

He'll run off and tell all his little God-mocking friends that we're "intolerant" because we weren't overjoyed by his joining our Christian church forum and mocking God.

Have faith in Jesus my friend. Sooner or latter our loving Savior will send His angels to cut down Heriocheires like a dog and drag her naked, filth covered body threw the streets until it falls apart. Jesus did not give up on us even when He was on the cross, that is what true unconditional love is. We should return the favor.
