Are you implying Brother Alex has a gambling problem? Those stories were blown WAY out of proportion, friend.

Of course your rights matter but made up 'rights' don't, especially when they infringe on other people's actual rights. Quit bitching and making it out like you're some sort of victim.

As for this whole thread, I've devised a fantastic test to see if a man is gay!
Get some vinegar, get some baking soda. Get loads of clay and make a giant clay volcano. While this is erupting, if the man is too busy <lewd sex act deleted> to watch, he's gay.

It has been decided you cant say just anything and not expect a reaction. For instance you cannot yell FIRE in a church or meeting place.

It is still the constitution. It governs all of these laws. Laws are vetoed, repealed, and enacted based on their constitutionality.

To many of your other points, while nobody should have to endure public humiliation, they are parts of making your life public.

Should Tiger Woods' love affair be huge news? Bill Clinton's? If they were my neighbors or yours, I doubt they would be, but they made themselves public. You opened a B&B, you are a (somewhat) public figure in your community.

When your daughter "came out" or marched in a parade or kissed her girlfriend in public, she made her difference from others public. That does not mean she deserves poor treatment, but she is not allowed to be surprised either.

I have actually coached several young ladies who have worked for me when they have complained about looks from customers, coworkers, etc.

"While I will talk to XXXX and explain that his/her behavior was inappropriate, there is a reason we have a minimum dress code. When you intentionally ignore it and come in wearing a shirt/skirt that advertises, accentuates, and intentionally draws attention to your features, you should not be surprised when they do their job. No, a "tight" sweater is not a major issue, but a sparkly rainbow running across the tight white low cut t shirt with no bra, kinda says 'Look what I have!'"

You and your daughters have made choices. Those choices have consequences. If you do not like the consequences, change the choices. Plain and simple.

    Nan,

We do not tolerate any person threatening that they will commit criminal, physical harm against any individual, nor urging other persons to do the same. If you see anything remotely approaching that on these forums, report the post immediately. Those making such threats will see their posts disappear and will be banned.

Of course those asking Jesus to smite their enemies are only following the Bible, and not breaking the law.

Well it is Biblical law, isn't it? So we're not allowed to speak our minds if it offends you.......

Again, be careful what you wish for.

Spray painting is a form of stoning. Its public, it hurts its hateful and its meant to silence forever
Really, want to tell all your gay friends who live in Muslim countries that? I've never heard of someone dying from their building being spray painted.

I am saying its the speech of that like the speech here in this thread, and whole SECTION, that encourage people to take up arms/spraypaint. And No it was not self advertising. We are not a gay B&B we do not INQUIRE into personal issues
Have we encouraged anyone to do this thing?

If you're not advertised as a gay B&B then how did they know it was a gay B&B? Or could it have been someone who was mad at you personally? Or as I said, a random act of violence. You know that happens right? A friend of mine had his car spray painted just last week, however he did not see it as a personal attack. I guess it couldn't have been since he's not gay. After all, people only attack gays, Christians are never attacked for their beliefs, nope never happens.

Yeah, cute picture except who decides what is hate speech? Seems that according to you just saying that God hates homosexuals is "hate speech".

But hey, you fight against that pesky right to free speech. Personally I'd like to see the first amendment go the way of the Dodo. Fight it with all of your heart. But don't come whining when it blows up in your face. Oh right, you'll be arrested if you do.

Wow, you aren't too terribly bright are you. We are in power, if WE take away the right to free speech because it's so offensive to hear things you don't like it will be back to the glorious 50's where people like your daughter end up in institutions for the mentally insane and spayed so that she can't make any more freaks.

As I said, be careful what you wish for. Because your rights could easily be taken away.

As for painting your business. I really like how you come onto a board based out of IOWA and accuse us of spray painting your CALIFORNIA business. Do you really think we could be bothered? Are you really that paranoid? Anyway, why would they spray paint your business? Either it was just a random obnoxious child who would spray paint anything, although you people seem to take even the common street mugging as a "gay hate crime", or you are advertising your business as THE GAY BED AND BREAKFAST. It's one or the other.

As for spray painting, what about all of the churches that get spray painted, or burned down, or what ever other evil you people decide we deserve? Why is it so offensive for someone to attack you, but perfectly acceptable for us to be attacked?

Remember Gay = 1%-10% (depending on the study)
    Christian = 80%-90%

    Nan,

Maybe your regular daughter could talk to your irregular daughter about how great it is to be in a regular relationship?

    Just a thought.

    Yours in Him,

The threads like this make it stronger for the people who hate the gays and my daughter. Who spray painted words on our B&B? the haters. The same people who see the writings of your's here and take it Yes one step further out onto a wall or a newspaper article. Hello, this hurts people! Words hurt
    .
Well I guess if words hurt we better squash all those ideas of free speech, after all heaven knows the Constitution GUARANTEES THE RIGHT NOT TO BE OFFENDED!

Oh wait! You're perfectly fine with that, as long as it's our rights being squashed and not yours. Well guess who's in power, guess who runs this country, guess who would be put back in the corner, or mental institutions as the case may be.

Remember the old adage of be careful of what you ask for, you just might get it.
