I know there is pressure on young people to identify as somehow "different", but relax - if you are telling us the truth, then you are perfectly ordinary. Well done!

I'm demisexual. This is part of asexual spectrum, meaning there are different, although similar, branches of asexuality.

As demisexual, I am literally not attracted to anyone of any gender, aka asexual, UNTIL I form a close/romantic bond with a person. However, that doesn't change us either.

For example, I am in love with my boyfriend of two years. Because of this, I am attracted to him. But, just because I am attracted to one man, does not make me heterosexual. Heterosexual is defined as a sexual attraction to members of the opposite sex. Demisexual is in regards to one person.

My boyfriend is heterosexual, because he is attracted to women in general, whereas I am not because I am only attracted to him only after developing a close bond.

But because we are both of the opposite sex, and in love with each other, we are therefore in a heterosexual relationship.
