It seems like Newt can't get enough of marriage. He's had three straight marriages, now he wants gay marriages.

You can kind of see how his mind works. He took a new wife for every important political campaign. Now, he's thinking, "What is I need a homer for my next campaign?"

Oh, that Machiavellian SOB. If his motivations weren't so unashamedly evil, I'd almost admire the way his mind twists advantages out of situations that at face value seem like disasters for your cause.

He realizes that the Republicans lost in November because they've successfully alienated sufficient minorities in modern American society, that eventually became a majority opposed to them. In order to be a viable force next time at the polls, they'll have to appeal to at least some of them by changing position on one or more issues.

Two of the major politically divisive issues facing the USA right now are gay marriage and gun control. I think Newt cynically chose exactly this time to "evolve" his position on gay marriage due to gun control's renewed urgency in the face of the tragedy in Newtown.

It's worth that much to him and the Repubs just to get gun control off of people's minds that they'll offer to cave on gay marriage.

"Forget the 27 needlessly shortened lives, what's really important is what some people do in the privacy of their own homes".

I'm going to start referring to him as Snail instead of Newt. He moves as quickly, and seems to leave a trail of slime on anything he touches.

Well Diddly Munch, as long as we're discussing hypocrisy in the animal kingdom let's talk about a half-white half-nigra chameleon named Obama (or Ho-bama as his nigra constituency are beginning to call him). Faced with the worst economy since the Great Depression under his leadership, and finding his campaign finances running low, he heads off to Hellywood (the single greatest concentration of sodomites on earth since our Lord laid waste to Sodom and Gomorrah) to announce he has "evolved" his position on homer marriage. One has to wonder if appealing to Darwin by using the word "evolved" lends any "scientific" credibility to his sudden change of position on the matter.

Needless to say, the Hellywood sodomites opened up their checkbooks and contributed generously to his then fledgling campaign. Meanwhile he has thrown his nigra constituency (who vote for him in overwhelming numbers) under the bus as the majority of them have about as much use for homer sodomite marriage as the residents of Freehold, Iowa.
