    Hi, I have a question.

Does God hate me for smoking pot? Cause I always took the moses and burning tree story as a reference to weed and it doesn't seem like an act against God to me since it's technically a plant. In fact, it would be a positive aspect to christianity because I wouldn't be making this thread if I weren't under the influence of marajooana. Typing the word with God, Jesus, and Moses on my mind stimulates my mental thinking spiritually and feels amplified under the effects. So in a way, it has brought me closer to God.

As a good Christian I want to be sure that I'm not making a choice against the all-mighty because I know God hates hippies.

God says worship Him and treat your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. How are you doing any of those when you are stoned munching on cheetos?
Gather around so that I can read to you from my book of TRUTH. Genesis thru Revelations....Pick one!

Luke 12:5- But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

But I do, I exercise everyday. I keep my body clean and healthy and participate in communal sports and activities. I worship God everyday too, the only difference is I smoke up before I read the bible.

God hates you because you have come into His favorite forum to mock. You are no more a Christian than my dog is a cat.

Taking narcotics is illegal. The Bible specifically commands that we obey seccular law. Otherwise we'd still own slaves and we'd have as many wives as we could afford.

        Take your hate elsewhere, dopehead.

Not to mention this mocker also runs the risk of being swallowed by a whale.

          Jonah 2:5
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

But there really is no definitive difference between a dog and a cat. They are both 4 legged creatures with tails that are no more significant than the other. I've seen dogs acting like cats and cats acting like dogs with differences only in their speech. Thus we can conclude that I am no more different of a Christian to you than your dog is different to your cat.

Also I realize that some states have legalized gay marriage and is that not an act against our Lord? So seccular law is not always God's law.

So if you walked into a pet store and said "I want to buy a dog" and they gave you a cat, why that would be just fine and dandy with you, right?

              You're a bigger fool than I thought.

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

If I asked for a dog and got a cat I wouldn't complain since their both nothing but pets to me. Dog's bark and wag their tails, cat's meow and wag their tails. Why should I care beyond that?

Also I hate sodomites as much as the next person but all I'm saying is man's law is not always right.

Wine is Godly - full stop, no argument. Jesus Himself put it above water. And don't come the idiot with stories of people being drunk - God likes unjustified drunkeness no more than you do.

Cigarettes are to be avoided but, whilst polluting the temple that is the body, do not alter your perceptions.

"Inhaling a plant", as you amazingly inaccurately put it, will, in this case, alter your consciousness and quite clearly prevent you from appreciating His natural wonders around you and praising Him. This is Godless. This is wilfully denying the beauty of the Creation and avoiding God.

The plant was not intended to be set alight and smoked, it is used for weaving and cattle food.

If you smoked every plant in Creation, you might have a point (start with poison ivy.) It could be a Biblically Scientific experiment to see the effect of them all - but no, you do it to get, as I think the young people say, "Blasted out of your skull."

You are doing it only with one plant, you do it regularly and do it selfishly, to separate yourself from Creation: you, son, are a sinner and what's more you know you are, otherwise you wouldn't be squealing the way you are.
