    Re: Hello Friends

Mrs. Bate, I am reminded that I attended school with a Mr. Bate from Topeka. I was so long ago that I had nearly forgotten. We had an instructor, a Mr. Horace Wilmot, who was quite nearly deaf. Like all people who are hard of hearing, he talked loudly. I think that is as an encouragement for others to speak up so that they can be heard.

He used to call on us one at a time to do readings in his class. MASTER MOSS!, he would roar at the top of his lungs, PLEASE START AT THE TOP OF PAGE 342! Then he would loudly call on another student. MASTER SMITH, PLEASE CONTINUE! and so on.

One day, when Mr. Wilmot had just called on Mr. Bate, the school janitor came running in naked from the waist down and proceeded to touch himself inappropriately. I have never understood that and that is why I still remember that day and Mr. Bate all these years later.

THAT was very likely something my ex husband would have done in efforts of converting the "condemned".

Normall, my husband likes to spread the gospel in accommodating outerwear, where he has an opportunity to cover up and be prudent.

            Bless you Sister!

It is so refreshing to meet a Christian woman that knows her place!

While both man and woman were made for the glory of God, woman glorifies God by being the help meet to man that God designed her to be. Man was made in the image and likeness of God and specifically for the glory of God, but woman was made in the image of man, she was made specifically for man, she is the glory of man.

Woman is made in the image of man, and yet she does retain some traits of the nature of God as well because she is made in the image of man, who was made in the image of God.

The relationship between man and woman is meant to be a symbol of the relationship between God and his people. The man exercises God’s leadership, protection and provision traits. Woman exercises God’s submission traits, as Christ was always fully submitted to the father’s will, so should woman out of respect for God, be fully submissive to her husband.

1 Corinthians 11:7-9 "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man."

            In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Hi. Hello there. Glad you could make it here. Oh wow, that's nice hair you have. Hi there! Welcome!

Wow. All the way out there in Topeka? OK. Wow. Goodness. OK.

Do you like to bake? That's really far away, isn't it? OK, well thank you!

Thank you for the welcome and the compliment.
I do like to bake all sorts of goodies. My congregation always told me I have a great pie. People love to eat my pie.

What first brought you to this church? I heard it was full of some of the most righteous and pious Christians around.

Seriously? Sister Daisy has the sweetest, crustiest pie in all of Freehold (apparently) I am itching to get up there and try it. Have you ever eaten each others pies?
If your pie is as good as you say it is, I think a pie sandwich is the order of my visit as long as you fine ladies don't mind me mashing your pies together. I like to fill them with cream, it's what I do. They say I am pretty big Down Under. Probably all the creamy pies I eat. You don't find many good pies Down Under. All they do at carnivals here is BBQ. Ever had black pie? No way, me neither.

Why that sounds absolutely heavenly! We have pie eating contests all the time! We should swap recipes. We had a real close cooking congregation at the church I was at. We used to grease each other's pie tins, even on the outside. It made it easier to slide into the oven. Never saw a black pie though. No one ever burned one.

Some have to cook a little bit longer. More sins to burn off.
