Don't you think God would prefer you to call Him by His real name?

Those are His real names, one is in Hebrew, one is in English.
You can use any language in the world to say His name and it's still His real name in that language.

I belong to no church named of men. I belong to The Lord, YahuShua HaMashiach, whom you call Jesus and Christ. And together with all those who are His is The Church in which I dwell.

The Lord gave me this scripture when I was a young Christian:

Eze 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

My wife and I asked Jesus into our hearts in 1979!

While I respect your decision to accept Christ as Meshiach, I assure you he is not. Certainly he was a great man and a rabble rouser to say the least, but the description of what we call the Messiah does not fit your Jesus. I can provide you with a great deal of history that will show you this if you have an open mind. It would be best to do this in private because these people are stuck on Christ like white on rice.


This forum is not too welcoming of those who differ with them. I tried to be friendly but all they want to do is give me infractions and kill witches. Luckily the Attorney General is putting a stop to the latter.

If that is the case, then you need to go all the way and not use some lukewarm approximation of the Hebrew forms, and in the case of the name "Jesus", it would be best to use the the more probable form of the word. Please, let me elaborate.

יֵשוּעַ, the "Jesus" could come from either Yeshua or Yehosuah, of which the latter seems to be from where your alternative is derived. There is absolutely no need to emphasize each syllable with a capital letter. Now, which one should we use? In this case the "Yeshua" is more likely, as it was the more common form in the vernacular of that period and because Aramaic in its West Syriac form, an actual vernacular, supports the reading Yeshu` [jeʃuʕ], indicating that the reduced Hebrew form is the right choice. Hence, we get yēšūă‘ for the first word.

Now, the Messiah one is easier. No ambiguities. מָשִׁיחַ has the pronunciation māšîaḥ. The ה "ha-" is just the definite article "the", no need to write it with capital letters, either.

So, what you want to use is either the name in Hebrew letters or the correct translitteration which would come out as Yēšūă‘ ha-Māšîaḥ.

Of course, many people use the corrupted pseudo-translitterations similar to you in order to try to appear as educated and to gain privileges in that way. I'm sure you are not one of them but a genuine seeker of Jesus Christ (I talk to Him in the American vernacular that He loves) that we can welcome on the Forum!

Friend, your obscure commentary has led to rumors circulating about your possible intentions and a general sense of unease. Why don't you start over? We'd like to know your congregation, your Pastor, how you came to find Jesus, what joys have stemmed from your salvation, how you work for Jesus and what influence He has had on your life. We'd also like to know any other information that may prove efficacious in assisting our understanding of you and your walk with Jesus.


You should understand that we are a humble group of Christians who has suffered mightily for our faith, not that we don't expect it (2Timothy 3:12). We are forced into a constant defensive mode by attacks from unsaved wretches who come here to vex us. It is only through our faith and our love for Jesus that we are able to continue (Hebrews 12:11). However, while we expect attacks from the Devil's people, we do not encourage them. Your habit of avoiding direct conversation is highly disturbing and we ask that you be more forthcoming with the facts (John 17:17). I have included a few pertinent Bible verses to assist you.
