    Re: A not-so-brief Introduction

Thank you for your interesting dissection of my introduction, and I am very sorry that I am unable to edit the post to hopefully resolve some of the errors that occured within the text from uploading it via smartphone.

I believe that for the most part, I agree with your interpretation of my words, in the sense that you understood the intent with which I presented myself; which is that I have joined here(upon a reccomendation from a friend) to discuss religious topics and the nature of morality in relation to god with others who have more thoroughly studied the bible than I have, and who's viewpoints come from a perspective that I am unable by my own experience to understand.

In short I came here to find perspective and have intellectual discussion on the bibles teachings, or how we interpret it. I did Not come here to spread my own views, contradict others beliefs, or insult others ability to think for themselves. I know I have an incomplete knowledge of christian teachings, since my parents raised me with barely any exposure to the church, and my schooling glossed over world religions without answering any of the questions I had.

I do wish to note however that you have misinterpreted several statements from my introduction(though understandably)such as when I say: people use the teachings of the bible to judge for themselves what is right or wrong. I am meaning that only in the sense that I believe in free will, and that we make choices that can be wrong at times, but so long as we persist in an effort to live according to God's teaching, we are always able to find our way back from our errors.

I will be more careful with my phrasing in the future to prevent misunderstandings like this in the future, and thank you for your input into this.

    Have a blessed day!
    Sincerely, Mr.Kohr

As a young, manly Son of the King of Kings, I have no problems taking any man in my arms if it will mean Salvation(R) results from such an action. Indeed, I would welcome such an encounter. Since I am not in close proximity to Mr. Arthritis, I can spiritually engage in mental intercourse with him, believing that the Almighty will bring the results that would come from an actual in person intervention. I hope the brother will envision my arms wrapped in masculine love as I whisper the truth of Jesus in his ear. Praise God!

If you note this small portion of "Lord Arthwipe's" rather verbose post,

One of the definitions for "div" that is noted on the excellent reference that you linked to, Sister, is that it stands for "divergent". Not only is that the title for one of those dreary "heroine-stands-against-the-system" novels that permeates the young adult filth literary market, in this instance, the Holy Spirit is telling us-- through your interpretation, that this man is divergent from the True™ Faith.

Some strong and secure Brother in the Lord needs to take this person by the arms and show him that open-mindedness vis a vis the Bible means that it goes in one ear and out the other.

Furthermore, we don't EVER judge the Bible for ourselves and risk going astray into the pit of everlasting death.

Moreover, we do not delude ourselves that the preachings of Jesus Christ concern peace and love.

    Matthew 10:34

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

    Luke 14:26
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

And as for the notion of tolerance, this fellow needs to read our beloved pastor's "Jesus is xenophobic and so should we" sermon.

Thank you, Sister, for helping us all to discern the deeper meanings of this person's densely written text wall of claims. If he is at all sincere to truly know the Lord, then he will need to stop diverging from the narrow path and choose the only right way to God.

    Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    div (2)
    noun
prison slang a stupid or foolish person

    Word origin of 'div'
C20: probably shortened and changed from deviant

Welcome to our Godly forum. I must admit that I have not read your introduction post because it was very difficult to go through all those satanist symbols.

I must warn you that belonging to this forum will lead to persecution by the army of heathens (and its avant-garde, the gamers), social justice warriors, feminazis and so-called free-thinkers that allow any kind of thinking except ours.

2 Timothy 3:12 - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

They mistake our love for God with hate for "different" people. It is a common mistake. See, I find no pleasure in telling other people about the fate that it is awaiting them in Hell, but it is my duty to do so.

    Matthew 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

What it might seem from the distance as a bunch of racist rednecks heavily armed, is nothing but a group of God fearing people, heavily armed, and willing to practice what's in the Bible to the letter. 100%, no shortcuts.

John 15:18 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

I hope you enjoy your stay!

Yes, I'll admit my username is a little...odd and possibly even in poor taste in hindsight. I'm not usually one to post in forums, so I defaulted in my decision to use a cheeky username that might elicit a laugh or two.If I could, I might change it to something more appropriate for a person who enjoys serious discussions... but alas it has been done and now I will endure the consequences.

As for my keyboard, I will perform all appropriate ceremonies as soon as possible, though I may decide to simply refrain from posting via smartphone in the future just to be safe.

Yes, it does appear that some unusual things are occuring with my posts, likely due to my use of a smartphone and my unfamiliarity with forums.
I shall seek out my local pastor for guidance and attempt to educate myself further on this to avoid future incidents. Thank you for your humorous reply, it made me smile.

Arthwipe seems a strange name for someone from Wichita.

I urge you to anoint your keyboard with oil (James 5:14) to expel the demonic forces that likely caused the computerish symbols! Of course, it could be God that intervened, as Brother Elmer has suggested. To be certain, anoint the keyboard anyway. Let us know what happens.

    1 Corinthians 2:7
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Because of this, we sometimes have to resolve the issues with the magnificent statement "God said so", as His private musings are and will always remain beyond our reach. Well, not always, as things will be revealed to us once in Heaven!

    Yours in Christ,

    A not-so-brief Introduction

Greetings to the members of this community, and to those visiting who may stumble upon this message. I thank you for taking the time to read this and sincerely hope to nurture a friendly relationship with those who take part in the discussions here.<div><br></div><div>I would first like to note that(as you may have realized) I am ill suited twards writing introductions, as I do not often interact with other people outside of a professional environment, nor do I use social media. As such I would like to ask for your (the reader)'s patience and understanding for what shortcomings I may have from your expectations in an ideal new member.</div><div><br></div><div>As for who I am, my name is Jeffers Daniel Kohr, I am a CNA from Wichita Kansas, who sofar as religion is concerned, considers himself to be a Christian, though my childhood consisted of only 2 visits to a church for a sermon that I was too young to understand.&nbsp;</div><div>It follows to reason that I have a unique and what most would call open-minded view of religion in that I am not overly concerned with the minutia of phrasing used by the Bible, nor necessarily the political interests of the church or representing them, and what I view as most important to take from the bible is the spirit of its teachings, the basic guidelines for us to judge for ourselves what is the right course of action, and by doing so we either go astray or we do not.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Sometimes we are lead down one path or another, but ultimately it is our own path, and as long as we embrace the teachings of peace, love, and tolerance as preached by Jesus Christ, and strive to apply these principals to our daily lives, we will lead a moral life and even should we lose the path we may find it again.</span></div><div><br></div><div>I sadly do not attend church however, as congregations are foreign to me and feel uncomfortable to one who has always worshipped in solitude and quiet.</div><div>The result of this is that I am not easily influenced by the preaching of others and tend to be very accepting of things that some fellow Christians are vehemently against, and who's violent reactions to certain subjects have both confused and perturbed me.</div><div><br></div><div>I cannot say I have a favorite verse from the bible, as I read several forms of it and frankly, it was a dry reading, though very moving in its own way, much as the Koran is also very beautiful- but I couldnt say I have a favorite passage from it either.</div><div><br></div><div>I &nbsp;also have little to say about how I "found christ" I suppose I have never noticed his absence truly. I believe if anything, I spent a good portion of time in my adolescdnce thinking critically about various religions and theologies, studying their core values and structure, and in the end I decided that knowing what is or is not true is impossible without faith. Faith is a belief that doesnt make a lot of sense to be honest, and I am sure there are others with more faith than I, but for me at least; i needed to understand before believing, as I was wary of the deciets of mankind.</div><div><br></div><div>Though I may not praise god in the same buildings as you, or quote scripture word for word (I only have a copy of the New king James Bible) or agree with every assertion that others may make about the word of god, I ask that you know that I share a goodwill twards all of mankind reguardless of creed or color, and that I question everything in the interest of provoking thorough thought and understanding of what we preach so that we may not make mistakes we may later regret, and that if we do make mistakes- if we stumble in our paths, that we might begin to understand why, and find our way back collectively as people. Not just as Christians or any contextually arbitrary identity.</div><div><br></div><div>...if it wasn't obvious I am very similar to the philosopher Immanuel Kant, in that I believe morality is rooted in logic, and by this reasoning discussion of moral subjects do not need to end with "god says so" but rather justified by sound unbiased reasoning as further proof of why god says so.</div><div><br></div><div>That being said I will wrap this up by saying I also enjoy a good joke here and there and rarely am I so dramatic with my wording as I have been here.</div><div><br></div><div>A good day to all of you, and happy holidays as of the time of writing this! </div>
