    Dear Atheist,

    Welcome to the Forum.
You are aware, I hope, that this is a Christian forum?
Why would we want to ask you any questions? What do you expect from us?

I, personally, believe that God has directed you here for a reason.

I am, of course, aware that this is a christain forum. You might ask me questions as it is evident by looking through this site that very few people know what an atheist is actually like.

        Dear person,
        • What kind of an atheist are you? Hard/soft/agnostic/apatheist/ignostic/...?
        • What is your atheism based on?
        • What would make you change your mind? About theism in general and about the Truth™ in Jesus Christ in particular?
        • What is your opinion about the Euthypro dilemma and how does it influence your actions as an unbeliever?
        1 Corinthians 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

        Yours in Christ,

Hello Mr. It and welcome to our friendly forums! My question is, why did you run away so quickly? Are you chicken?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Oh, look at the clever typo.

How about you learning what a Christian is actually like? Read the Bible. Learn how a True Christian™ does not want to know about your hellbound lifestyle, as it will only lead to you being tortured forever by God (who loves you ) for not loving Him even more, and they don't want to join you.

Hey, now that would be worthy of further discussion (as long as the OP bothers to read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euthyphro_dilemma). I'd not heard the specific name.

Of course, the whole argument is dismissed by realizing that God of the Bible is not inherently, does not have to be, and never claims to be "good" in the first place.

Would a "good" god be named Jealous??

Exodus 34:14 "For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:"

Why would anyone want to ask you questions, when all the answers are already in the Bible?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Mr Resident Atheist: please do not introduce dilemmas on our faith, we are good as we are.

Of course, we think God is what He says He is, and that is written in the Bible.
We escape the Euthypro by seeing God as it is, and of course we must fear God, and love Him. We love God because we must, and there is no logic to break that.

WE MUST FEAR GOD, IT IS OUR DUTY
Ecclesiastes 12:13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.

                      AND WE MUST LOVE GOD
Luke 10:27 - And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself

BUT IT IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT SEEMS, BECAUSE THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Only God can decide wether we love Him or fear Him too much or too little.

Fluffy bunny Christians also escape this dilemma, by having an imaginary God and using their own moral standards to create that God. God follows their imaginary standards, so it is not allmighty, but subjected to their individual perspective. It is easier to have that God, than the real God of the Bible.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Yes. .I can never tell the difference

                        There was something else:

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Wow! God is good after all!! Or is He? What was Jesus talking about? Don't ask me. Read The Bible:

Exodus 33:17-19b The LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee
