Many people join this forum to mock and insult Jesus and His followers. I often wonder why . . .

Every time a bit of unsaved trash mocks Jesus or His favorite church, it's just more proof that we are right and that we are blessed:

Matt. 5:11-12: Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Think about that, Christ-haters.

Ah Brother Rodimer, the message I hear is that, despite our sincerest efforts, there are those (even in the Godly USA) who feel that;

• Secular science holds the keys and has unopened doors to mysteries that are truly The Lord’s Mysteries;
• Medicine has made them question the need for prayer;
• Such prayers as there are, go unanswered;
• Drought and Famine no longer stalk the land;
• Infant deaths are rarer than they have ever been;
• Public schools have driven out faith and replaced it with a horrible philosophy that Mankind’s destiny can be in his own hands, rather than God’s and, finally,
• God’s promise of Paradise when you die is without foundation.

I also note ignorant and heathen voices calling out against stoning, slaughtering the godless, the position of women in society and the chastisement of children. I see the influence of Satan in the media encouraging the acceptance of “alternative lifestyles” and of false gods as if they were normal.

The root of this trouble? Pure and simple; a lack of Faith.



Who can forget the words of that poem by Whittier, Dear Lord and Father of Mankind”?


“In simple trust like theirs who heard
Beside the Syrian Sea,
The gracious Calling of Our Lord,
Let us, like them, without a word,
Rise up and follow Thee”

We need to be more like the peasantry of 2,000 years ago: we need that unquestioning Faith! Only then will God become meaningful to the people of this land.

I hate Jesus because he makes laws and expects me to follow them. I love sinning too much to be tied down.
