I'd like to (and am probably expected to too) introduce myself.
I am a young Belgian (not a French homer, as I've read here before) male, not a satan-worshipper, heterosexual, and er, fairly open-minded.
The reason I've registered here is to gain (and maybe share, although you're probably fed up with evolutionist stuff) some insights.
Pardon me for my nickname as well, I was kind of agitated at the time by some closed-minded replies, from respected as well as less respected posters.

Welcome. I pray you're open-minded enough to accept Jesus' love, but not so open-minded that you'll let Satanic drivel in. I know that unless it's about Jesus and the Bible (KJV1611) you likely have no insights worth sharing. We've certainly heard enough evilutionist lies to last us a lifetime.

We, however, do have an issue with Satanic lies. You come here to our church's forum, a place for us to share the Godly Truth, and you demand that we keep open minds to demonic gibberish? Plausibility is not the issue. God tells us threw the Bible that creationism is true so therefore Darwinism must be a lie of Satan and clearly its believers must be converted or destroyed. We true Christians are just following our love for God.

The real point to this is why are we here? Darwinsim argues we are the creation of random chance. While this is logical this does not explain why we are self-aware. There are all kinds of life that do not even have a brain, much less are self-aware. The only logical explanation for human self-awareness is it is bestowed on us by God so we would understand He would burn us in Hell if we didn’t drop to our knees and worship Him.

I believe the philosophical ball is in your court now. Return it if you can friend.

Perfectly. We are to honour our father and mother, and what better way to bring honour to someone than by being a good, respectable Christian son who hates them as JESUS commands? If I had a good Christian son who hated me, I'd consider it an honour.

I do not wish eternal hellfire on myself, and so I don't want to extend it to you. I do wish for Salvation, and so I wish to extend it to you. Frankly, I don't see how even a demon-addled Chinaman could object to that.

And I don't think that you've ever read the Bible. There are entire chapters that consist of Him alternately threatening and bribing people into loving Him. Works for me.

Apollyon, do keep in mind that "honour" and "love" are not the same thing.

To honour someone is to show due respect. You may, for example, honour your boss, even though she's a narrow-minded, Christ-hating jerk. It doesn't mean you like her, it means you show her respect.

All God requires of us is that we honour our parents, not love them.

Welcome to God's Favorite Forum! It's such a relief to find that there are Belgians who can write in complete and intelligible sentences, and who have cracked open a Bible! (We've had a run of slow-witted Belgians recently.)

There are indeed species that do not have a brain, or so much as anything neural for that matter, sponges for instance.
Anyhow, I've studied zoology, and what most surprised me there is that when you line different animals up (ofcourse, those that look most like their postulated ancestors), there's a nice gradation in development from sponge to human even.

As for self-awareness, I consider it a side effect from a more developed brain. Most people here will probably agree that mentally we tower over the vast bulk, if not all, of animals. Again, in the course of evolution (as stated by Darwin) one can see how smaller centres of control (mini-brains one might even say, like insects have) group to become more and more important, and thus developing more capacities, one of which might be a consciousness. Just because it's a side effect doesn't mean it's a bad thing though. On the other hand, it might have been bestowed upon us indeed, who knows.

Thanks for the reply there OnYourKnees, I suppose it also means that you may loathe your parents, but since you are to honour them it also means no inflicting harm? Just making sure.
Oh, and the main reason you've gotten a flow of badly literate Belgians here, I'm guessing, is that an excerpt of some of your views have been posted on a forum there, leading to well, investigation. Personally, I also despise the way some people on the internet abuse spelling openly...
