Brother Washington, welcome to our Godly forum. You must excuse the suspicions of some of our more vigilant members, but we do get all kinds of God-mockers coming into our forum to do nothing but fight with us.

You seem very well spoken and are quite polite. If I may be so bold as to ask, where did you get your education? You said you live in a small town with very few white people. Did you take some sort of correspondence course or something? Or perhaps you went to a boarding school nearby, where there were qualified teachers?

Contrary to what the politicians want you to believe about rural southern schools, many are quite good. This is the case in the public school system in Colleton. There was, and still is, strong focus on the basics like mathematics, language skills, civics and history.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from Allen University in Columbia SC. Allen is a small A.M.E college named after our founder Richard Allen. There were few opportunities in 1966 to attend a predominantly white college. I went on to earn a Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Most of my fellow black students at that time were athletes.

I am saddened by the fact that many Christian Churches, both black and white are plagued with members who hold extreme racist views. Sunday is after all, the most segregated day in America. It is my hope that my visit here will inspire some of your members to some day visit a black Church.

I know that I will most likely to continue to receive attacks from some of the members here. I will turn my cheek and try to refrain from responding in any ill mannered way.

While I agree churches shouldn't be split along race there Sundays should the most segregated day of the week;

I'm sure Sister LeVitra is a lovely lady, but I am a married man. I've been wedded to the the beautiful Flossie Mae Jones for just over 39 years. She's given me tree fine children, Bessie, Tessie and Jesse. Bessie and Tessie both found fine husbands and have given me grandchildren. Jesse went to Seminary School in Columbia and has an A.M.E congregation in Orangeburg SC. He and his wife LaToya have four fine children.

Jesus has truly blessed me.

It truly pains me that you still view black men with the bias of stereotype. The only accurate thing you said was this:

I have noted that I am the parent of three fine adult children who have blessed Flossie and I with five grandchildren. They are all growing up in loving two parent homes where they learn good Christian values. I have indeed been truly Blessed by Jesus Himself and I thank Him.
