  • Hello There!

New to the forum. My father was a minister for about 20 years, was raised in the church. I will probably just lurk for awhile but will post now and then. I do have 1 question before hand that I could not find the answer too. I know that you use the KJV of the bible, I was curious as to where it says he was ordained by God to 'fix' the bible. I am just curious, I am not trying to "bash" anyone, just trying to learn. Thanks for the info and Nice meeting you all!!

No one friend. That is why we TRUE Christians™ follow The Bible in letter and spirit. We do none of that "interpretation" nonsense nor do we leave out the hard bits.

I have been reading on here for a few days now and noticed that someone had made a comment to that effect. I am reading the history you posted and I am sure I will get back to you with other questions.

              Re: Hello There!

The King James Bible is the best translation in the English Language because the source is the Textus Receptus, and not the perverted Latin Vulgate which other Bibles stem from.

Read Jack Chick's excellent tract which explains this in better terms.

Welcome to God's favorite forum, Mr. Rug. Please tell us about yourself. How old are you? What Church was your father with? Where do you attend services now? What are some of your favorite Scriptures?

We are always interested in hearing how different folks came to find Jesus.

I am 31. my father was a Pilgrim Holiness Minister that eventually retired. I am married with 3 children, all who willing submit to the Head of the Household, the children being trained since birth to not disobey what they are told and take there punishment because they know they deserved it and that I do it out of love. My wife, who makes an excellent rhubarb pie, has always complied with my every command, I am lucky the extent that I have never had to discipline her. She loves me so much. I came to know Jesus when I was 4 years old, reading the bible, praying everyday, doing my chores, etc. Currently I do not attend services due to there being no local church, but we do our devotions every morning and night as a family. I am so thankful that I have been able to find this forum for it has helped me fellowship with other Believers!!!! Having this makes me feel good, in only a way that Jesus can!!! If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask and I will help in anyway I can!!

So you are Methodists? Did you know that the Methodist Church is a bunch of liberal false Christian fluffy bunnies? As you can read in their own words, they believe in interpreting Scripture through tradition, experience, and most damnably of all, reason. They even allow queers to "get married" in their churches!

I AM NOT UNITED METHODIST!!! I hate to state it that loudly, but I am in no way involved with that church!! Yes, there was a merge, a while ago, but we were one of the few churches that stayed to the way that we were taught!! No cards, no flesh showing, heaven forbid dancing. I remember when I was a little kid someone who was caught with pornography who was not widowed or elderly, married to a beautiful God-fearing woman, and he had to take out one of his eyes in front of the congregation to prove to everyone that he was truly sorry!! Afterward, the minister at the time, made an example of him by beating him so others would know that God did not approve of that sort of sin and they would know what would be coming to them if they disobeyed God's law!!
