    Re: New and Scared

I dont remember the one before that, because I recieved a concusion from that one, which I believe, now, was God's way of showing his anger at me for fighting.

Oddly, enough, I was at the park with my friends. We liked to practice street hockey in the parking lot. I havn't gotten into trouble with the law, the cops were never called for any of them. I'm generally a very calm, placid person, but my temper gets the best of me.

Hello Victoria. Welcome to the Forum.
I too, can be very fiery when provoked. But, here you will learn, that talking is much better than fighting. Though, even now, my temper peeps it's head up sometimes.
You have been very honest here, that's a good thing, holding back from the Good People here, is holding back from God.

And yet another Sin to confess, I took my boxer for a walk when I got home from church, and I saw a girl from the high school (she's 18) picking on a much younger child. I asked her nicely to stop, several times. She escalated the situation, and tried my best to stay calm. Now, I controlled myself to the point where I didn't hit her, but I got hit a few times. I did throw some several choice words in her dirrection.

I feel horrible that I used such horrible language, but on the other side, I didn't actually hit her.

Well, at least you kept your fists under control.

Thats true, I was generally well behaved when it came to actual violence. I applogized for using such language. I talked to my Pastor tonight, and he said he would pray for me and my quest for controling my temper.

Great! Sounds like you have a good support system helping you.

              Anything else?
Do you live by yourself or do you still live with your parents?
Tell us more about the boys you dated that your father didn't like. You mention you got close to them, but not too close. What does that mean? Tell us everything as The Word instructs us to.

              James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

                Re: New and Scared

I don't live at home anymore, my parents thought it was time for me to move out, being as im 21.

I was into the boys with the soupped up cars that listened to rap and such. They didn't really treat me OR my parents with respect. I did a lot of kissing (not always bad, I don't think?). Thier hands got to wander, to places they shouldn't have been. I stayed fully clothed. But thats because im very self conscience about my body. Granted I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs, but still.

You can't trust those kids who listen to that rap music. Having a man who's a certified mechanic is a good thing, but not if he wastes all of his time designing 'pick up' mobiles instead of a decent ride.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You look like a nice girl.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                        Thank you, very much.

I try to be, but I'm young and I do make mistakes. But I'm here to get help from the Christians on this forum.

Speaking of Christians, my Pastor came over just a little while ago, and I accepted Jesus into my heart! I can't even begin to describe this feeling, it's amazing beyond explination. I've never cried so hard in my life as he felt Him wash over me, tears of joy, pure bliss in Jesus.

You are such a lovely young lady. (I have seen your picture and promptly deleted your post as per your request). I can see the longing you have for Jesus in your eyes. You have no idea how badly I want to minister to you right now.

Perhaps we will meet in the near future for some Bible study and one-on-one private pastoral counseling.

                            Re: New and Scared

That would be great if I had the funds to do so with, alas I don't.

But my pastor said he would stop by my house on Tuesdays and Thursdays now because I am so newly Saved. This experience is amazing, I tell you what. I'm still shaking from Jesus coming into me.

I was wondering if I should find a new job, mine doesnt help with my temper. I have people calling in about thier credit card bills and house payments and whining about how they can't pay it. It drives me bananas, because I dont think anyone should take out a credit card if they can't pay it back, but I digress. I make great money, but at the same time, I get fired up when people start whinninh about how they have 10 credit cards and are 13,000 in debt. It's thier fault they are in the situation. I get get angry and all that at them. As you knowI have a horrible temper, should I search for another job?

Maybe a stint with the Marines would help.
