    Good Afternoon

My name is Seraphima. I came here because, after running across your site, I noticed that your views on Christianity and the Bible are rather extreme. I guess you could say curiosity got the best of me and now I just want to learn more about your views. I will probably ask lots of questions regarding certain issues, so please remember that I mean no disrespect to anyone here, I'm still learning.

    Thank you and God Bless
    Acts 2:17

Welcome, seeing you have no interest in being Saved®, I shall not bother with the customary greeting. I will very strongly suggest you read and abide by the forum rules, all of them. I also suggest you make use of the forum search function instead of asking the same questions all noobs ask.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I never said that I had no interest in being Saved. The views here are quite extreme and unlike the views with which my parents raised me to believe. I may ask to be Saved tomorrow, next week, or next year. However, at the moment, I'm still unclear about the beliefs and practices of Landover, especially compared to other Baptist churches.
So, I guess for now, I'm just a humble observer- asking questions and finding answers.

Seraphima, Eh? The name of a witch from a godless volume from the Landover Baptist Church Banned Book List (patron: Mrs. S. Palin – 40,000 and rising.)

Let me first assure you we are in no way extreme. We simply follow God’s Law, as per the inerrant and timeless King James Bible 1611. We hold that obedience to God’s Laws is the duty of every Christian and, thereby, we may find ourselves one day on the Right Hand of God.

"The Holy Bible, KJV1611, was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.

We are extremely holy, make no mistake.
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

If we're extreme, it's because GOD commands us to be. You don't see Him asking us to love Him with a little bit of our heart, do you?

I hope your parents come to their senses and repent of their false doctrine before Jesus sends them to Hell for being heretics.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I am sorry to hear that your parents are heathens, that must have been awful being brought up in such a Godless home. As far as being saved, the time and place to seek salvation are here and now!

As for questions you may have about our church, I am sure you could find many of the answers you seek by reading through the thousands of posts on our holy boards.

So far, you have not asked any specific questions dear. Is there something in particular you wish to know?
