Even liberals support the war. Hitlery Clinton voted in favor of it. And leftist governors are even supporting it now: http://blog.oregonlive.com/politics/...war_is_ab.html

I assume this means that you believe all liberals are ignorant trailer trash?
    1 = 3? Nuff said.
    Holy Trinity. Nuff said.
Well, I agree with you in theory, however it doesn't carry over to the reality of folks like Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggert, et al.
And are they True Christians from Landover Baptist Church? No. So your comments regarding them are not relevant to True Christians.
They don't believe in God, so they cannot hate God.
He who is not with God is against God.

    Luke 11:23
He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

    Mock him so?
Yes. You mock Him and His people with your hatred and bigotry.

What, so the entire Military-Industrial Complex is made up of "uneducated rednecks" according to your hateful opinion is it? You don't need to be an uneducated redneck to support Our Great Leader in his crusade to defend freedom against Allah's murdering scumdogs.
      1 = 3? Nuff said.
It is indeed, and I suspect that, were you to say any more, you would be in danger of damning yourself by denying the Trinity.
They don't believe in God, so they cannot hate God.
Wrong! The only way atheists can justify their hatred of God is by pretending He doesn't exist. If they just admitted He existed, there'd be no way they could hate Him!
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Second, you "Baptists" are much too eloquent (not to mention the grammar, vocabulary and spelling) to be real Baptists. What's up with that? The last time I read such verbiage was on an ATHEIST forum!!!
Several points need to be raised here. Yes, the catholics do allow their members to excersise "freedom of conscience" and people calling themselves catholics and worshipping in catholic churches believe all manner of things -- even nonsense like reincarnation (I hope Rachael is not looking).

If you really must join a xian church I would recommend the Anglicans. They have lots of fun with rituals and wine drinking and some of the best nosh ups of all churches. But best of all you can be an Anglican without believing in God. This is the clincher! It is the only church worth having anything to do with.

Keep this under your hat, but I even went with a neighbour to a little local Anglican church myself a couple of times. There were some very interesting peope there. The priest, dean or whatever was having a homer affair with the local member of parliament and there was a character from the Dickens society there, a couple of other homers, and a variety of other educated deadbeats and drop-outs.

As far as these Bapwits being eloquent, sometimes people who focus solely on the one thing can seem to function above their native level of intelligence.

Look more closely and you'll see what I mean. Take this OYKs character -- I thought on one occasion that he was being singularly pedantic, but it turned out that he is just ignorant.

There is a post somewhere where he claims he's never heard of the term "inverted commas". But no one of normal intelligence and a normal education who has read widely could not have heard of it -- he obviously has not read very widely and is pig-ignorant. His objection to Y'all, or whatever is another case in point. He probably just doesn't realise that this is standard English. Colloquial, perhaps, but standard.

He is pedantic as well, to the point of outright lunacy, in fact, and that is what distinguishes these baptist retards from intelligent and rational atheists.

        They are all barking mad.

The fact that they come here day after day after day writing all this crap and wasting their time arguing pointlessly with all and sundry proves that they are religious nutters. No one who had not taken leave of their senses would do this. It's not rational behaviour.

No, they are barking mad xians. So barking mad that it is difficult not to wonder if they are really serious or not. But no one but barking mad xians would go on and on like this day after day.

This is funny. If there were still REAL men around, it might at least make SOME sense. I hope you treat your wife like a queen and buy her nice stuff like platinum diamond rings.

Why do you stereotype people in such a cruel and unthinking way? Why are you so afraid of people who aren't like you?
How is my portrayal of (most) Baptists cruel and unthinking? There is a reason stereotypes come about. I'm not afraid of people who aren't like me, but it is true I don't like most people.

EDIT: Oh, and why did they defrock your false Catholic pedotherapist?
He wanted to get married so maybe he left the church. He is not a pedotherapist. He is an Irish-American therapist.

Hmm...points well taken. I do notice that some of these Bap-twits do post an awful lot. I used to do the same on another forum, and that was my pre-mood stabilizer days (nice way of saying I was a bit looney). I'd sit posting all day and my posts were in the low thousands.

You might be right. We might be dealing with some real loons. Your points are interesting about the Anglicans, but I do believe in God, so I don't think that will work for me.

Thanks for your most well-thought out post.

              You're stereotyping again.
Assuming that all pagans partake in everything you define as 'bad'. Sorry, little girl, you've some growing up to do.
Not to mention the fact that your own catholicism is a lot more pagan that you realize.
You do realize that your precious 'Mary, queen of heaven' is actually Isis in disguise, don't you? Not to mention the many other examples.

Well, I do admit that these folk have quite eloquent grammar compared to many fundies I've seen, but I resent your thinking that good diction and grammar is limited to atheism.

Sorry, Rachael, but there IS a reason stereotypes come about. How is Catholicism more pagan than I realize? Who is Isis and how does this relate to Mary? FWIW, I am not a little girl. I can wish I were, but it ain't so. Ho hum. Maybe that is why I don't look my age, so I'll go with it.

You assume I limit my estimation of writing skills to atheists, which isn't true, BTW.

Thankyou, you just proved my point.
Many catholics do not, in fact, know their own religion. The base for the Mary you revere in catholicism is actually taken from the Queen of heaven to the Egyptians, Isis, a Pagan mother goddess.
Catholicism actually takes quite a lot from Paganism. Yet so many of you have no idea, and call Pagans 'evil'.
Your religion as you know it would not exist, but for Paganism.

And yes, there is a reason negative stereotypes come about. Because of ignorant and fearful people who try and place negative images on that which they do not understand and/or are afraid of.

It's all good and fine to make the statements you have, but you have offered no concrete details to support your assertion. Further, exactly HOW would Catholicism not exist but for paganism?

Sorry, sweetie, I hate to disillusion you about your religion, but these facts are concrete.

Almost the entire jesus myth is of Pagan (non-Jewish) origin. It blends the dying and resurrecting god of Mythraism and other Roman myths with the Gnostic picture of a divine being descending to an evil world to enlighten the chosen people.

When Constantine enforced xtianity as the official religion of Rome, even more details were added from Paganism, such as the dates of holidays. Xmas, Easter, all taken from Pagan dates.
To make it easier for people to convert from Paganism, of conversion.
                        And the Xmas tree?
Do you know the bible actually prohibits Xmas trees? Such things are Pagan, of course.
Firstly with the ancient Greeks decorating to Adonis, and the Ancient Romans to Bacchus.
The ancient Egyptians decorated trees as well, however the bible expressly forbids it.

                        Jeremiah 10:2-4
2Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

And Easter, barely even changed from its Pagan origins. The egg, fertility symbol? From the Pagan festival of Oestara. Even the name is barely changed.

If you'd like to do your own research on the connections between catholicism and Paganism, I could provide you with a handy list of books you can check out for yourself.

Again, I'm not being mean or spiteful, merely pointing out to you what is, not what you wish was.

Keep their families safe?), it's wrong. Anyone with half a brain can see this. It's the epitomy of hypocrisy when christians support a war in which people who had NOTHING to do with 911 are being slaughtered. These christians are unforgiveable, in my opinion.

But what is with your tag line? Fall to your knees and taste the love of Jesus? Eww.

You know, I've wondered about that. Although, he probably meant it as entirely innocent, being a fundie and all. What are you thinking about?

Those Muslims are squatting on American oil. Even that liberal Kulongoski from Oregon says so, and that we need to secure our energy future.

Naturally, our Godly GW Bush knew that the average American won't look up from watching American Idolatry long enough to understand "secure energy future", so had to use a bit of a ruse to get their full consent to start the war. He has ample precedent from God in the use of deceit to accomplish a worthy goal.

It's not my fault you hate Jesus, and reject His Love!

Well.....just think of the word taste and eww at the same time. I feel like a pervert for even thinking it, but at least it isn't my tag line.
