Re: I'm new, how many reincarnation believers out there?

To the author of the thread:
I believe in reincarnation. I'm Pagan.

And I was raised by a catholic mother and I know that the catholic church does not believe in reincarnation. They believe in heaven and hell. You can't go adding changes/extras to a religion where none exist and claiming them to be official because it suits you.

If you don't believe what they teach, then go with a different religion or belief.
    Sheesh.

See, here's your trouble. You are going on your own "understanding", which is mostly fantasy based, as Brother OYK has pointed out. If you had actually read the entire Bible you would know that nowhere does Jesus tell us that the OT is to be ignored or tossed out like trash. On the contrary,

Matt. 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

You see? God does not change. Don't go by your own imagination. don't go by what some false Christians have told you. Don't waste your time reading false versions of the Holy Bible, especially the catlicker one. The only true version of God's Holy Word is the KJV1611 Bible. Study it and forget everything else you've ever been told.

We all know that certain books were excluded from the Bible and the many translations therein. Therefore, one can never interpret it too rigidly. But the one thing I've been thinking about lately, and maybe this seems stupid, but how did our whole world's calendar year get based on when he came and when he left? That is significant and why? What is up with this B.C. stuff and why? Perhaps smarter minds than I can answer this here, but clearly NOT the Baptists for real.
Are you still in high school? You aren't a nigra are you? How can you ask such foolish questions? If you are smart enough to use a computer, then certainly you are able to look up for yourself the information you seek. Or is that too much trouble? You do sound like a nigra, as they are known to be pathologically lazy..

The Holy Bible is NOT to be "interpreted". We are the ONLY church in the world that follows the Holy KJV1611 Bible literally, word-for-word. Putting a spin on God's Words or cherry picking the verses you like from the ones you don't is exactly what mary worshipers do. If you want to join a cult that makes up utterly false teachings and claim they come from the Bible, then go ahead and join up with the catlickers. I hope you enjoy being sodomized by their priests.
      Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

In fact the Papist dogs have now renounced belief in the reality of hell fire! Hell, according to their old communist leader -- not the current ex-Nazi, the previous one -- is just metaphorical. This makes it plain just how far these heretics are from Jesus and the truth. They will have a rude awakening when they stand before the Great White Throne and are tossed into everlasting torment!
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

My friend, you are on the fast track to Hell Fire and eternal torment. What absurd nonsense you talk. As has already been pointed out, the notion that the New Testament somehow negates the old is to call God a liar.

Listen to the words of Jesus:

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
John 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Nor is Jesus some sort of hippy liebral. This is another bit of nonsense that will see you turfed straight into the Pits if you do not repent of it very quickly.

Read Revelation: Jesus is going to return at the head of a great army with a great sword in his mouth and slaughter all evil-doers and those who do not accept him. Their blood is going to run in rivers and their bodies will be left lying about for the carrion birds to eat. This is not the actions of a hippy leibral -- these are the actions of a Just and Jealous God; a God of War.

Jesus said that he came not to bring peace but to bring a sword. Make no mistake about it, friend, when Jesus returns it's the likes of you, Rachael and the catholic heretics that he'll be gunning straight for!

Repent now and accept him as your personal Saviour before it is too late. (Remember to contact the main office at Landover to arrange a tithing regime.)
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Pagans do bad things like go to Burning Man.

My therapist also happens to be a former priest and told me parts of the Catholic church are not so rigid like they used to be. He also believes in some kind of afterlife and didn't tell me there is no such thing as reincarnation.

I believe you're confusing Burning Man, a big arts festival with all manner of heathens (not just Neo-Pagans) with Wicker Man, the 1970s documentary about Neo-Pagan beliefs and how they sacrifice Episcopalians. (Note: A fictional movie of the same title, starring Nicholas Cage, was made recently. That's a Hollyweird version, and not the one you want.)

Is your excommunicated former-priest therapist the Pope? Last I checked, the Mary-worshippers follow what the Pope tells them, and he is supposedly the inerrant representative of God on earth.

So, when Pope Nazinger says that Catholics believe in reincarnation, that's when it becomes Catholic belief. Until then, your excommunicated former-priest therapist is just another heretic.

I'm sorry to hear about your false catholic therapist - did they defrock him because his inability to achieve rigidity prevented him from molesting alterboys to the high standards demanded by the Pope, or did his heretical false doctrines also play a role?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

An art festival is a bad thing? Would you prefer a world without creativity, beauty and expression?
And if you seriously do believe that 'pagans are bad' because you've been told so, well, I feel sorry for you.

It doesn't matter what one individual catholic believes. If a person is part of the catholic church, they basically on some level adhere to the teachings of the vatican in Rome.
And that vatican you follow does NOT believe in reincarnation. Until they say they do, you cannot claim that the catholic church supports reincarnation, only that you do.

Burning Man is just one big excuse for drugs, sex and rock and roll, under the guise of "creativity." It's one giant naked shower replete with painting naked body parts. Even my BF wouldn't let me go with him. No doubt I would have spoiled his little pagan party.

It speaks poorly of the popular culture in the United States that the perception exists that Baptists are uneducated rednecks.

Landover Baptist Church's membership is largely well-educated. Our previous (usually secular) educations are augmented by Landover's patented Witness Elucidation Program, in which public speaking, grammar, and writing skills are emphasized. Creation Science, explaining how science demonstrates Creationism, and Christian Mathematics, proving that 1 = 3, are touched upon, with additional electives available in those areas.

It is of the utmost importance that Landover's representatives know how to communicate clearly and concisely with people from all walks of life. We are presenting God's Word to the world, not hawking baked goods at some redneck county fair! Our success means eternal salvation for others, instead of damnation and infinite torture! Is that not reason enough to study a little harder?

Meanwhile, I do not doubt that you've run into similarly-educated folk on your atheist God-haters forums. Those people get a little secular education, and then decide they don't need God. Soon, they delude themselves into believing He doesn't even exist, and that they should mock their neighbors into sharing this "Anti-God Delusion". They make up stereotypes about Christians, claiming that we're all ignoramuses and of questionable sanity and morality. They create characters for their little God-hater forums who pretend to be Baptist, typing in broken English as though they just left the trailer park. It's reprehensible, the things these God-haters do to serve their true master, Satan!

Such hatred makes Jesus weep. He only wants to love them . . . and you. Why must you mock Him so?

Well, it's good to see that, while you may be a hellbound pagan scumbag, at least you're valiantly resisting the dubious temptations of feminazism and are completely submissive to male authority. God approves of that much, at least.

If your statement were true, they wouldn't be supporting Bush in our occupation of Iraq.

                              1 = 3? Nuff said.

Well, I agree with you in theory, however it doesn't carry over to the reality of folks like Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggert, et al.

They don't believe in God, so they cannot hate God.

Such hatred makes Jesus weep. He only wants to love them . . . and you. Why must you mock Him so?
                              Mock him so?

It is because we are REAL Baptist, unlike the cut and paste FAKE Christian Baptists you are used to. Jesus guides our posts accounting for their readability. It is HIS hand that guides me to a spell checker! PRAISE!
