Ahem... You have that completely wrong. If you offer to buy someone's daughter, you should go through with the contract and the woman becomes yours. In those circumstances, it would be hard to see how you could rape her.

To effect a marriage by rape, the rape would have to be before any contract or approach to the father. You must also be prepared to offer 50 Shekels to the father. Failure to do same may, depending upon where the rape was and whether the girl cried out, result in stoning to death.
