    Hello Community

I am new to this forum and my name may be misleading, but I do actually believe in God, but I also like science (666 just happens to be part of my birthday :/ ).

I currently am stuck between the Bible and Science. Just because we use fancy telescopes and microscopes to guess what happened in the past does not suggest that the Bible has more certainty in being true. If our eyes are the judges, the Bible is interpreted by how we physically see it, the same as any science experiment we perform. However, science is too limited to answer everything with absoluteness, so by default we resort to an old text which may or may not be fact. For all we really know, it could be true and I am doubting a loving higher power, or on the opposite scale, Satan himself could have written it and given it to us as some evil diversion.

This is my major dilemma in my quest to find a loving God in my heart.

(p.s. I will not listen to anyone named Isaac or Jacob on this forum because deep down they are Jewish).
(p.p.s I will gladly talk to openly Jewish people, however).

    Re: Hello Community

Your username upsets me, as I don't understand your intent. But I will leave that matter to others.

Why do you think there is a conflict between science and the Bible? The Bible (specifically the 1611 Authorized King James Version) contains all you would need to know about God and His universe.

    Regards,

    Edward

      Re: Hello Community

I am momentarily confused that my American education has taught me about the God Particle, yet we also go through our daily lives trusting God.

I would like to believe that the Bible was written by God, but there is, in my opinion, an equivalent amount of "proof" for either. Either science is real, or it is not. Either the Bible is real, or it is not.

I would like for a true believer to show me (without circular logic or "God's word") that the Bible has more reality than the science which God gave us.

Particles are a physical reality in the universe, just as is human evolution. If it were not for particles, quarks, etc. we would not be here.

Science can only explain up to a certain degree.
          If evolution is true:
          -humans came from monkeys
          -monkeys came from tiny organisms
          -organisms came from atoms
          -atoms came from particles
-particles came from the Big Bang
          -what created the big bang?
          - God.
I honestly do not currently believe that God created us necessarily with intention for us to love Him and for Him to save us in return. What makes us so special? Humans really in general do not deserved to be saved and God has no real reason to even bother Himself by watching us. The Bible, something no more provable than science, seems to be a ploy by greedy humans that we have important lives and that we will go to Heaven or Hell when we die. Is it not possible that God created us, just to live our one life? We have no evidence that we will go to Heaven, and to be honest, I hope most of us do go to Hell because everyone makes mistakes and everyone sins.

No, we get two: this one here and one in heaven.
We have no evidence that we will go to Heaven,
If you accept that it is possible for there to be a God, then the implication is that He is in Heaven, so there must be a heaven.

You're going about it the right way to get your ticket on the Hell Train.

I never said that there is not a Heaven.
Your response: "If you accept that it is possible for there to be a God, then the implication is that He is in Heaven, so there must be a heaven"
You imply that I doubt the existence of heaven. This is not true, I just doubt that feces shitting humans ever go to join the ranks of our wonderfully pure Angel-Shitter<3.
