Greetings and blessings from New Zealand

I'm not sure what to put in this thread.

But a bit about me is that I am a youth leader at my local Church and (as my parents didn't baptise me when I was born) I am learning as much as I can about God and Jesus before I get baptised so some won't think I'm taking the easy way to get past the holy gates.

I should hope not. Infant baptism is a Romanist practice that has no support in Scripture. Our church practices believers' baptism:

Acts 8:36-37: And as they went on [their] way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

I am learning as much as I can about God and Jesus before I get baptised so some won't think I'm taking the easy way to get past the holy gates.

What matters is not what "some" think, but what the Lord thinks. He has not given us an easy way and a hard way, but instead only one way:

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Good for you! Many people think there's an easy way to Heaven. There isn't.

Do other people in your church feel the same way as you do?

Some of the younger members don't. But the Elders support me and always answer any questions I have.

It's refreshing to see young children in the Childrens Church, which I sometimes help out at, showing their love for Jesus.

It is good you found our forum, because it sounds like your church is a bit on the liberal side. Also, I noticed several very liberal sounding words in your avatar, including the word "serenity".

Are you parents by any chance hippies?

No they aren't.
They have tried to convert me to their ways. But my love for God and his path is pure. I will not start raving about free love.

Serinity in my avatar means to me is that even though their ways aren't the true ways I still accept my parents even though I will never follow their path and make the same mistakes they did

Welcome to Gods Favorite Church(TM), it warms my heart to hear of your Love for Jesus.
The path you spoke of is truly a narrow path, do not be mislead by branches in the path that lead you away from Jesus. Stay focused and God will light the true path to Salvation.

That is good to hear friend! I myself am the son of an unknown hippy father and a horrible, but thankfully now in Hell, hippy mother. I can't tell you how hard it was to come to Jesus with all of that disgusting liberal baggage.

It took me THREE tries to get myself Saved! Can you believe that?

Oh, and while I'm at it, and I assume this was unintentional, but did you know that the "prayer" in your avatar is the one used by those pathetic drunks at Alcoholics Anonymous? You're not some sort of teenaged booze hound are you son?

James Dewitt, thank you sir. I will always do my best to stay on Gods path for me and not take a different road that will lead me to satan

Capt. Portway, Thank the Lord for saving you though. He want's all his children following his path. No sir! I only ever have some red wine and that's not often at all. It's mainly during Communion
