No, none of this is true. There can only be one God.

      Deuteronomy 31:16
And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

      Joshua 24:16
      And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;

      Joshua 24:20
If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

      Judges 10:13
Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

      1 Samuel 8:8
According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

      2 Kings 22:17
Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

      2 Chronicles 7:19
      But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

You will note, God does speak of other Gods, but these are lesser, demi -Gods. Just like in politics, you can have many politicians. Many senators but you can have only one President.

I do not believe in any other Gods. I don't believe or disbelieve anything. As far as faith in the creator of the Creator, I am open to whatever, because I nor anybody I have asked has provided an answer. None of the passages you quoted fault me for that as I am not serving any other God but simply waiting for God's god to reveal himself. Is it not possible that another story preceded the Bible, but has been lost over time?

I have in fact gotten on my knees countless times in prayer before being whisked away to sleep. I speak to the Lord every night, pastor, with the respect He demands.

Until He answers back, I cannot claim myself saved without violating His law and giving false testament to my neighbors.

Am I a sinner for following the Lord with an interest in His nature?

Jack, you are a waffler. You are definitely vauge.

I suggest gathering your thoughts and making a straightforward, clear statement. You wording choices can be construed several different ways and I for one, am not going to attempt to define each and every one.

God answers you every day. you have failed to listen.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Whoa there, I have heard God's message. I am simply wise enough to disattach it from God Himself.

He gave us the Bible for it's message, not to insist that he exists. We will find out all of the immortal truths when we we are no longer mortal, obviously. Hence the purpose of judgment day.

What many of you struggle with is in fact what you so often tote: the ability to follow the message of Christ, not Christ himself. You all insist on immortally known facts to the point of betraying your own religion.

Does nobody remember that it is unadvised by God to lack tenderness, to be unkind, to teach (for those who teach face harsher judgment), to act righteous (for no man is righteous), and most of all, to be unforgiving?

Your words have been kind to me, so far. But most of your words here mean little to me, as I have seen you all betray the message of Christ in slandering others who oppose it.

I realize most of you must do this because you care so much that it pains you. But remember that kind words are always more easily accepted than those that are harsh.

The Bible provides in abundance a guide to social order, moral standards, and decency among men. Insisting that it is right is immediately in violation of these things in one way or another. Walk the walk, do not talk the talk.

Ah, now that makes sense. I agree with almost all you say here. You need to keep in mind, 99% of our visitors are UnSaved(c) and therefore need the 'straight dope' about God. We know if you follow His word, you will live a fantastic life of love and happiness. Our visitors all come with sad stories of a sordid past. They try to make excuses that will enable them to continue their sinner's ways. They all have miserable existences. They live in a state of oblivious denial. Our goal is to open their eyes to the Majesty that is religion.

We try to be kind to these lost souls. Sometimes it works, most of the time, all it does is make these people think that what they are doing is fine and that they will go to Heaven. We cannot lie to them. So inevitably, we are forced to douse them with the ice water of reality.
I know we are on the same page. I thank you for coming back and making a more lucid last comment.

I am not so certain about that. E.g. with raising kids the Bible clearly is not in favor of a soft aproach. I don't see why teaching the visitors of our nice forum should be handled differently.

Proverbs 13:24 "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Proverbs 23:13-14 "Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

And since physically beating someone over the internet is not (yet) possible, it will have to be a virtual beating with clear True Christian tough love.

The word of the Bible does not mention strictness of teaching for anybody but one's own kin. Your opinion that His desire for severe discipline extends to members of this forum (in other words, your neighbors), is an interpretation. To my understanding this is a violation of a vital custom to True Christians™.

With all due respect, sir. I am sure your intent was never to taint the word of God with words of your own. You mean well and only wish to enlighten, and I respect that.

The Bible does not explicitly say how we should treat people on internet forums. So I assume the way he wants me to treat my children will also be sufficient for treating visitors of our forum. Especially since most of them behave like children. But you are right, this is an assumption. If you have a Bible verse that you think better tells us how to treat forum visitors I would be most interested in that.

Christianity has never been offered on the cafeteria plan. Yes, God commands us to forgive, but He also says the following:

Ezek. 3:18-19: When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

So you is so wise that ya can neuter the WORD from Gods' own Bible and then interpret what empty sack is left to suit your vane needs?

Well, aren't you acting like Satan's' little veterinarian. Pull up the pages of Scripture™ and start snipping away at the fruit of the Lords commands.

Ya want a message from above to tell ya that you must strictly OBEY the WORD and NOT interpret it ya'self? Don't be a jackass, Jackman.
Lesson 1 --- Get out your KJV 1611 (ya can get a bunch free at the local motel, Gideon's are in the drawers next to the bed) and turn to Genesis.
READ >>> Now, this whole mess starts with a freakin' serpent lawyer interpreting the WORD of God concerning an apple to lady Eve, and then she does a bunch of interpreting the message to Adam, then we all end up booted ass-first out of a really nice place...

If you keep interpreting and waiting for a message "just for you", you might as well be a freakin' Mormon (they wrote their own Bible so they could have interpreted polygamistic diddlings).

Your words have been kind to me, so far. But most of your words here mean little to me, as I have seen you all betray the message of Christ in slandering others who oppose it.
What do you mean by "slandering?" We're pointing out to other people how and why they are evil, hypocritical and hellbound. I don't really see how we are betraying God's Message with that.

Walk the walk, do not talk the talk.
Well, that's exactly what we intend to do. Many people only talk the talk, and on sundays rage against homosexuality, feminism, evolutionism and other kinds of unbiblical godlessness forbidden by the Bible, but never do anything about it. We, on the other hand, back up our words with deeds, and actively try to convert followers of those evils to the Truth(tm) of Jesus Christ!
                              Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
                              Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

                              Amen.
