    Stever the Believer believes!

    Hi all,

I stumbled across this forum while looking on the internet for creation discussions. I consider myself to be an apologetic Baptist in Florida. I believe the earth is 6,000 years old and that the global flood that Noah and his family survived caused much of what we see geologically today.

I am 32 years old and I accepted Jesus as my savior when I was in middle school.

I get along. I play nice and I don't cuss (even if others on this site do).

    Let's play.

There's nothing to "believe": you either know or you don't know. All the facts point to 6000 years, so that's what we know. If someone disagrees, just look at their credentials and most likely they also express an atheist agenda.

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
    Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

Welcome friend. I it good to hear from someone who is trying to be a good of a Christian as they can be (Wwth Christ's help)

So tell us friend, what scripture do you take inspiration from? Mine is
      Acts 1:18-19
18Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
So what is your favorite verse friend?

That's a rather curious choice of avatars there, Stever.

Are you a fan of the eternally damned Monty Python troupe who based their very careers on blasphemy, one of whom is being brutally sodomized by satan as I write this?

            Re:

I posted the below statement in a thread called "More proof of the flood". Which sounds great since I love that sort of subject. Unfortunately when one tries to provide proof, they are accused of being an atheist and believing in monkey-men. It is because of this and the barrage of negative responses I already received in this intro thread such as the comments from God=life and Paul Jeffery that I have decided I do not wish to be associated with this group. I cannot take a group seriously who, by default, labels someone "unsaved trash". I don't recall Jesus saying that to people in the Bible. Have some respect and show some Christ-like features. Another reason I cannot be associated with this group is that I have scanned over a few of the intro posts by newcomers and I think it's awful how you treat some of them. You really think you're going to convert anyone by acting that way? Awful, just awful. I will find a group who does not use the Bible as a weapon of insult to others. I will not be returning here. Farewell.
Well, I joined this forum to add light to the subject of creation. I wanted to help out with some answers about how God works in case an actual atheist confronted you. But in a short period of time, a handful of you have convinced me that you are not who you say you are claiming you are Bible-believing Christians. Instead, people like "Pastor" Ezekiel who is no more a pastor than I am cusses at me to try to make a point. Or would that be "cussing for Jesus?". He (and/or James DeWitt) also gave me a meaningless and an unfounded infraction for posting a link to a creationist website and called me an atheist. How bizarre and unlike a Christian.
Then we have Cranky Old Man that for some reason isn't convinced that I believe in the Bible. You must think I'm some secret spy from the atheist camp.
And Jebediah Oglethorpe, wow. With only 11 posts to the forum at the time of this response, you are part of the people who are giving the rest of us Christians a bad name. Saying that plate tectonics was an evolutionist idea because you don't SEE continents move? That's like saying air is an evolutionists idea because you have never seen it. No wonder it's difficult for the rest of us have such a tough time trying to share Jesus with atheists. I've had atheists ask me if I'm one of those christians that say I believe in God and ignore what we see. I tell them on the other hand, I believe in God and I explain to them how they are wrong about evolution based on what we see in God's creation and the visible results from the Great Flood. Furthermore, you also give christians a bad name when you claim that earthquakes and volcanoes are a judgement from God. What part of the Bible did you read that from? You are inaccurately claiming that I believe in "monkey-men" just like the others did. It's like you're a bunch of children who can't understand and comprehend written language. You make it painfully obvious when you ask what I believe when you're quoting my previous post that shows clearly what I believe.
Insititute for Creation Research (ICR) is a great source of information. Henry Morris, who runs that group, is a good man and I've met him. He has good information about Noah's ark. Funnily enough, the evil plate tectonic theory you are so scared of is referenced a great deal on the ICR website (the group that you sound like you agree with).
You all do not give the impression that you are actually Christians. I hope that you are but based on your actions thus far, I cannot be associated with this kind of negative group. I hope that you are not the false teachers that God warns us about in Revelations. I wish you all a happy life. It's a shame you all continued to make misinterpretations and false accusations. My final statement is that I am not an atheist, I do not believe in evolution. We were created by God through Adam and Eve as the Bible says 6,000 years ago. I wish you all the best and hope that you clean up your language (Ezekiel) and give a true example of what a real christian is. I will not be returning here. Farewell.

              Re:

Steve, Pastor Zeke is one of the kindest, most loving men I know. He is also all business and does not tolerate nonsense. Obviously, you are playing some sort of game or are one of those 'salad bar' Christians that plug their fingers and their ears and go no-no-no-no-no-no-no when someone speaks a truth they do not want to hear.
So, instead of attacking others, I suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror. And do it with honesty this time. Shame on you!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Which, they always are. Unless, of course, you consider statements like "i talk to god, he is gay and likes gay sex with jebuz" to be something a Christian would say.

Well, it's pretty obvious that you came in here with a negative agenda. Let's review what I said:
                • First line: "Welcome, friend! We pray that you will enjoy your stay on God's favorite forum!" -- this can hardly be considered negative. I gave you a big welcome.
                • Second line: "There's nothing to "believe": you either know or you don't know. All the facts point to 6000 years, so that's what we know. If someone disagrees, just look at their credentials and most likely they also express an atheist agenda." -- this is pretty reasonable as people like to often portray facts as beliefs. I merely suggested that you should be more assertive about expressing facts. Again, not negative.
                • Third line: "Play what? Chess? I'm pretty sure that's a typo and you meant "pray"." -- I did actually assume you meant "pray". If you meant "play", then it would make no sense. So I repeat the question: play what? Asking for a clarification should never be considered negative.
                • Fourth line: "YIC" -- this would only be offensive to an atheist.

                  Dear friend:

The Bible is a weapon. It is in fact the sword of the Spirit:

Eph. 6:17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

I'm starting to think that you want a group that does not use the Bible, period.
