And my photo, I got it from a website that sells various Halloween masks and this one happens to be called the "Casanova Mask" so it seemed appropriate.

Now g'wan and pull that prancy stuff elsewhere, because y'all ain't from Texas...at least not from Bexar county.
I'm not from Bexar county, I'm from Harris county.
I don't think there are any "pickers" here since the only fields I ever see around here are to raise either cattle or horses.
And, in high school (at least nowadays) you have to have at least 2 years(credits) of a foreign language in order to graduate. Whether the language is Spanish, French, Latin, Sign Language or anything else is entirely up to the student.
Some schools have a lot of foreign languages to choose from while others have only a few.

Some people here even try to teach themselves a foreign language through tapes, books, etc.. either because they just want to or because they plan on going overseas with the military as an interperator or something similar.

Harris County. That figures. A lot goes on behind closed doors in Harris county, and everyone who makes it to college from there goes to A&M to study animal husbandry. "Interperator" eh? Yep, that's Harris county.

Not everyone here likes A&M. I definately don't want to go there.
(And, I meant "interpreter." I haven't had enough coffee and I can't edit my own posts. But, thank you for pointing that mistake out to me.)

You are most welcome, my semi-illiterate Harris County friend. Today's word is "definitely". In San Antonio we had to learn English before we attempted a foreign language. But, of course, San Antonio is the center of the universe as far as Texans are concerned, and most everyone else as well. I doubt you have to worry about becoming an Aggie. Even College Station has minimum standards. I suggest you apply at one of the universities in El Paso or Ardmore, Oklahoma.

I'm not semi-illiterate, I just haven't had any coffee today and I haven't slept for the past two days.

Pardon me. I mis-spoke. I meant to say "My semi-literate friend". It makes your cup sound half full instead of half empty. In any case El Paso Community College and Trade School sounds like a good bet for you. Would you like to learn how to weld glasspack mufflers on low-riders? Think about it. Shoot for the sky! You can do it.

                Uh, no thanks.
I was thinking about studying psychology at a major Texas university instead of some community college in the middle of nowhere.

Or, better yet, I could go to West Point. I always wanted to go there.

                  Friend,

Have you considered a good school were you can get a proper Christian education like Duke or Liberty. Those secular schools you list are run by liberal elitist professors who are more worried about driving their Lamborghinis and dressing their children in designer clothing at the tax payers expense than educating students.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

West Point is a military school. More specifically, it's part of the army.

Yes, but I was referring to those other secular institutions. West Point is hardly a secular school. Naturally we TRUE Christians are 110% for our military like Jesus wants us too. So do you feel Christ calling you to His War of Terror?

Son, you better set your sights on something attainable. If I were you I'd be applying at Luby's or Rooster's steak house as a dishwasher until you can work your way up. You aren't going to West Point from Baytown, that's for darn sure.

I know what this homosexual is talking about. West Point is the military academy in New York state.

Of course, they don't allow homosexuals there. And besides, here in Iraq, there are a bunch of soldiers that went to West Point, and they're all idiots. They're all, "it was clear from the beginning that this was a failed and impossible mission," and "Bush and Rumsfeld are idiots," and "we needed at least 400,000 troops like they were told," and "you can't use the military to win a political battle" and ridiculous things like that. And I'm all like, "what are you, Defeatocrats?" And they're all, "you're not military, you're just a lame political hack," and I'm all, "well, I'm going to be richer than you," and they're all, "good luck, son" as they laugh at me.

So whenever I can, I urge the generals to send in the West Point guys to the most dangerous parts of Iraq. It's funny to see their fancy educations splattered all over the insides of their helmets.
