    Oops...

I posted something and then quickly received a message stating that I had to post a new thread introducing myself. I apologize for not doing so first.

So, on with the introductions. I am Vascilios. I am horrible with introductions, so, please forgive me if there is anything out of place in it. So far, what I have read on this forum makes me smile. So many people that are passionate about the Word of God.

Please, ask me questions. I am no good at this.

An introduction means telling us about yourself.

How old are you? What church do you attend? How did you come to find Christ?

      Re: Oops...

      I am twenty-six years old.

I do not attend church. When I was a child, I had a rare condition called "testicular torsion". It was where your testicles basically twist around. The pain from it was unbearable. They had to do emergency surgery on it. Basically, I an an eunuch. Because of this, I have no sex drive and am generally a very unemotional person.

Up until then, I had been a baptist going to the First National Baptist Church in Kelso, WA. But, when that happened, I thought that God had thrown me aside and that He hated me. Mind you, I was a young child and very impressionable.

But, lately, I have been more and more interested in recapturing that love that I had with our Creator and am currently trying to find a church that I feel is worthy. So many churches around my area try so hard at trying to fool the people around them that they are True Christians, and I could smell their lies. So, currently, I just read the bible on my own time until I could find the right one.

I hope that that answers your questions...

        Re: Oops...

Well I've got good news and bad news.

Firstly, the good news; God loves a eunuch.

Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
Unfortunately, God hates those who are wounded in the stones.

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.--Dt.23:1

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

            Re: Oops...

Pastor Ezekiel, I take it that what you said was a joke? If it is not, I do not understand. Why would He say 'yes' only to say 'no' later? Perhaps I am simply an infant in my quest for God's word...? It will take time for me to have the mastery over His word that you do. But, I thank you deeply for your input.

James Hutchins, I was nine years old at the time and have nothing to come clean with. I will explain in further detail, if you do not mind. I awoke on May 13, 1993 (a day that will live in infamy) for breakfast. When I sat upon my chair at the table, I suddenly got a shooting pain from *ahem* down there, and started to cry. When my mother rushed to my aid, I was making no sense and was just screaming. She called for an ambulance and they rushed me off to the hospital. In all of my days before that, I had done nothing wrong other than the original sin that we are all born with.

Perhaps He was angry at something that I was not conscious of? I do not know. Perhaps He did so so that I may later in life join this thread and meet many good people? I do not know that, either. One thing I am certain of, though, is that He works in mysterious ways, and I am not fit to question Him.

Nothing inconsistent here. Deuteronomy speaks of those who are “wounded in the stones.” A wounding takes place via third party without consent:

Matthew speaks of consent and the intent. This is where, for the Glory of God or as per M't:5:30*a person consents to the removal of the appendages of the groin so as to bring himself nearer to Christ.

It appears to me that your painful stones were a Gift from God. A constant reminder of His Presence, a souvenir of Christ’s suffering, and you have rejected this. Your treatment was thus not for God and I am afraid that the fires of Hell await you.

*And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Friend, I'm flattered to think that Jesus had me specifically in mind when he said that, but don't you think you're giving us a little undo credit?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

A little undo credit... perhaps. Yes, I like that. Undo credit... May I say, then, that you give me undo credit when you (not you specifically, but, the previous posters) condemn me to hell because of something that I had no control over?

Of course not. They would not condone such a statement. They believe that they are right when they make these judgements. Let us pray... Our Father who art in Heaven, please forgive them for their arrogance in condemning one of their brothers to eternal damnnation, and my arrogance for throwing scriptures in their face to counter their judgements. We are human and make mistakes, and I ask that You please look over our shortcommings and come into our hearts, oh Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Ah... that feels much better. Thank You, Jesus.

First of all, welcome to GOD's favorite forums. Nowhere else on the internet will you find a more dedicated church!

Now, I am a little concerned about what you said here:

Why would He say 'yes' only to say 'no' later?
Why are you questioning GOD? Is it not His Divine Right to say yes and then no; to say up and then down? To create man and then repent of it? (Genesis 6:6) Or to set up Saul as a king and then repent of it? (1 Samuel 15:11)

As far as your privates are concerned, I have to say that when I was a boy, I would've shouted Glory to Heaven if GOD had blessed me with this torsion you speak of.

Not only would it had made puberty a lot less tempting, I would have had the satisfaction of suffering pain for GOD!

Still, GOD is all-knowing and wise, and I am sure He had a perfectly good reason for taking your privates while sparing mine, just as He had a perfectly good reason I'm sure for striking my neighbor back in Kansas with a tornado while again sparing me.

The LORD does work in mysterious ways, but He will always be there for us:

For I am the Lord, I change not. -Malachi 3:6

I see what you are saying. I should not pray on here. I will no longer pray on here.

Thank you very much, though. You have given me exactly what I wanted. You see, I made up the story about the testes and everything. In fact, every post I have ever made on here was a lie.

I am an atheist, and I just wanted a little fun, and, that is what I got. I will print out all of these converstations that I have had and show them to my friends and we will get a kick out of it.

Go ahead and say what you wish, I do not care. Nothing you say will ever truly hurt me because it is baised on a book that has no place in my life.

You remind me of the people of the Westboro Baptist Church. Everything on here is filled with hate. Even the people who are trying to preach about God's love are hated on. They do the same thing. I find it pitiable that you would do such a thing with your life, but, it is not my place to say what you can and can not say or believe. You are a grown man, and I believe in the freedom on speech.

Yes, I have fought for our freedoms while I was in the Army. Bled for our freedoms, and it warms my heart to see you take those freedoms and use them. I may not agree with you, but, I will fight to the death for your freedom to say it.

I know I will get all sorts of hate mail for this, but, it matters not to me. Thank you for wasting your time with me. I do hope that it was mutually enjoyable.

                              Heh heh heh....
