Hello, I am making an Introduction to tell everyone a bit about myself, my journey to salvation and to hopefullt become accepted into this community.

I have been raised by a baptist mother. Our family is religious, my father is an ex catholic who is a bit lost religionwise. That being said, he believes in Jesus Christ as out Lord, but really isnt saved yet. I worry and pray for him.My maternal grandparents used to live on LongIsland and have moved to Florida, they inspire me with there religious ways.

I have gone to Bible Baptist Church in Wantagh, which has recently moved to.Farmingdale, our new name is Living Faith Christian church. We believe
Our faith in God is both grounded and growing. It is grounded in God’s Word which is changeless. It is growing as we constantly learn more about the greatness of our God, and the depth of His love. While not an exhaustive list, our hope is the following will give you a better picture of who we are and what we stand for as a church family.


As a people, our faith is grounded in the following:
1. We believe the Bible is God’s Word. Our faith, teaching, and church are based on Scripture.
2. We believe God created us to have a relationship with Him.
3. We believe salvation is possible by God’s grace and is received by faith in Christ alone.
4. We believe Jesus Christ is God’s son, who was crucified, buried, and arose on the third day.
5. We believe salvation is available to all who call on Jesus as Lord and Savior.
6. We believe in the biblical ordinances of baptism and communion.
7. We believe that we should do everything we can to share the good news of salvation with others

Gladly will I share some of my favorite verses. I am almost done reading the bible that I bought at the Revolve Christian tour in October.

Just from the Book of Genesis:

"Sin wants you but you must rule oer it" Genesis 4:7

"Every animal on earth, every bird in the sky, every animal that crawls on the ground, and every fish in the sea will respect and fear you.I have given them to you" Genesis 9:2

"And we praise God Most High who has helped you defeat your enemies" Genesis 14:20

My all time favorite verses:

"Yet, O, Lord, you are our Father, We are the clay, you are the Potter we are all the work of your hand" Isaih 64:8

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfullness to you." Jeremiah 31:3

Just a tidbit of His words, but they comfort me.

And Pastor, yes, my father and mother are very strict.

Son, I don't know what cockamamie Bible version you're using, but the KJV1611 Authorized Bible says something different.

Our congregation uses the King James version (My pastor reads from it), but my bible is that bible, but put into modern language that I would understand. Its made specifically for teenage girls, and I may point out that your version and mine have the same meaning.I know that the language is very different. Its a bit hard to follow along with the pastor when hes reading but on my own studies I do just fine. It is called "The Holy Bible: New Century Version" and Thomas Nelson publishers puts it out. It has really helped me in my daily devotionals, you know, the ease of reading.

Hmmm? Honestly I never thought that there were many Jews on Long Island. But I live in the Levittown/ nasauu. Thats a strange reputation, never heard of that one. Most kids are Christian in my school.

No, It is not. The church encouraged us o buy it. While I totally respect your ability to handle the "real" version, I can only say that it says exactly the same thing as yours, and if I may make a point, I do no think that you can say that if you have not rad this version. Personally I think you should . I f you liked it, you could tell teens at your church about it, encouraging them to read a bible thats a joy to read. All with due respect Pastor.
