I don't think she was saying that her "cult" are atheists. I believe she was saying that she could be considered an athiest (especially around here) because she supports modern science and all of that.

In my 'gayness' post I was really talking about the kind of gay couples who display their physical desires and relationship in public, kissing and fondling in my favorite coffee shop downtown, in the movie theaters, in restaurants and stores, in the parks, you name it. At the same time, I believe in rights for everyone and freedom of lifestyle of choice. I guess I just don't believe in legal gay marriage or in public physical displays.

That's precisely the wishy-washy relative morals you atheists get when you reject God. Just because YOU can't see them fondling each others private parts in the dark doesn't mean that God won't see it. God is EVERYWHERE.

If a homosexual couple willingly spit God in His face by "making their bed in Hell" they have brought it upon themselves. According to God's eternal word they must be killed and their BLOOD WILL BE ON THEIR OWN HANDS, which means they will be go to Hell as murderers.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Whether you have seen them committing their abomination is irrelevant. God has seen it, and He's the one who matters. The very hairs of their heads are all numbered and Jesus knows where they live.

If there is one thing I agree with the True Christians here 100%, it is on the issue of homosexuality.

I'm going to have to agree with Joe on this one. If you are as liberal and accepting as you say you are, how could you agree with something like that?

I can't stand to see gayness happening all around us; sissy boy-boy couples grabbing each other's backsides in full public view repulses me; lesbo lovers holding hands on the street and feeling each other up under the tables in the coffee shops in my town revolts me.

And is it any different to when straight people do it? Smoochy woochies in public is as embarrassing to watch no matter what the sexual orientation of those in question.

I don't believe people are born gay, or are compelled to be gay because of their hormones, or that it's natural to be gay. I don't believe in gay marriage or gay rights. They can keep their gayness to themselves in their own bedrooms, that's the way I see it.

That sounds pretty damn narrow-minded to me. You say you support science and evolution, if you did, you'd notice that animals are born gay too. And they aren't influenced by human culture, are they?
Don't be silly, of course people are born gay. What is awful is when narrow-minded people try and squash them by telling them that it's 'unnatural' and thus make them feel awful about themselves.

In the town where I live it is not politically correct to put down gays, it's considered a no-no. Well I say poo to that. On this forum I'd like to tell it like I really see it. Things have gone too far! It's a disgrace!

I think there is a certain inclination in some young pubescent teens to identify with the same sex temporarily, but to experiment or act on any such impulses is just plain wrong; and to choose a same-sex partner and a gay lifestyle is the road to ruination.

Did you love your husband when you married him? Can you imagine what it would have felt like if people from a church refused you the right to marry him? Said that it couldn't happen because it was unnatural and an abomination? Would you have felt very good about yourself, or life, or love, at that point?
Would you have gay people made to feel that way?

Are you talking about my family? We did have an incident like this a few years ago—my husband mentioned it when we joined the forum, I think.

You can read about it in more detail here. Basically, our son Mark "came out" as a sodomite when he was 18, and Gary and I were devastated. We tried it all—electroshock, group prayer, Chinese water therapy... and nothing seemed to cure him. Eventually, we developed a comprehensive plan for healing based on Richard Cohen's techniques (check out my preview of his new book in S4J!), and our prayers were answered when he went into the woods and blew his brains out with one of Gary's shotguns. I think that was in October 2002, though it might have been November. We don't talk about him any more.

Of course a real (Baptist) church would have refused to "marry" them, as she at least is a false Christian, so I can only assume her husband was as well as a True Christian man wouldn't put up with that nonsense.

Okay thanks Rachael, I appreciate that. You know, I have heard that some people are born gay, and that it's due to genetics or hormones; and it also appears some animals are gay. Now that wouldn't be a choice, but an instinct.

I even heard a theory once that when overcrowding occurs in local populations of animal species, some of the offspring begin to be born homosexual; as if to insure a temporary decrease in birthrate.

If it turns out to be true, and gays really are homosexual because of their genes, then I am proven wrong. I would be interested to learn more about that, I'm open to learning something new, after all.

Were I you (and thank goodness I'm not!), I would take anything Rachael says with a grain of salt. She is a desperate, desperate person who would do anything to drive people away from Jesus. Be careful about showing any appreciation for what she does, since she is probably trying to convert you to veganism or whatever religion she is today.

That is patently false. First off, there is no such thing as "genetics" or "hormones" (or, as I like to call them, "homo-ones"). So-called "scientists" who go to diploma-mills like Harvard or MIT like to spread this rumor because it furthers their agenda of taking God out of our schools, but it is entirely false. Don't let them kid you: homosexuality is a CHOICE. In the same way that Brother Remy has chosen to be white, a homer can choose to be straight -- just look at Ted Haggard. Granted it took an intensive two-week course to turn him back straight, but if that doesn't prove that there is a choice, I don't know what does. Animals being gay doesn't make it right, unless you're an evolutionist, then I guess whatever a monkey does, you have to do I guess it's time for you to defecate into your hand and throw it around, hmm?

Theory this and theory that. Why isn't it a Law if they're so sure, huh? It's all just conjecture. As a scientist, I know for a Fact(tm) that scientists come up with these theories while sitting in a circle passing a bong around. You don't have to believe me, but that's the facts. How else would they come up with a billion kajillion years of age for the earth?
