  • Re: READ THIS BEFORE YOU FLAME US!

Interesting reading, from all sides. Lots of scripture being quoted. Except, in my view, the most important of all that NO ONE in this entire forum seems to recognize or comprehend. Allow me to provide assistance, then, if at all possible.

Consider any microorganism, which would classify as the smallest living thing on Earth. To assist and for sake of discussion, let's go with a "nanobe," although any microorganism would work well.

Just to visually discern a single nanobe requires an electron microscope, as each one one-one thousandth the size of the diameter of a single human hair.

So you have a single nanobe ... now think of yourself, a human being, capable of an infinitie number of things. Walking, thinking, emotions, invention, dreams - the list is endless.

Get a piece of paper, now, and write down all the differences between you and a single nanobe. Here's a start:

1.) I can move my right index finger.
2.) I can touch something with my right index finger.
3.) I can scratch a thousand different parts of my body with my right index finger.

... you get the point. The list could include billions of differences based solely on one finger. In other words, no one reading this could ever come CLOSE to compiling a list covering a single hand vs. a nanobe, making an entire list beyond our capabilities of comprehension. We don't even have the imaginary ability to conceive of how long that list would be. Human vs. Nanobe.

Now turn that around. God vs. Human. No one here has the ability to comprehend how long that list of differences would be. You might say, well, God can do this, or He will do that, etc., but the fact is, none of you possess the intellect or capability to even comprehend God.

So to sit here and talk about who's going to hell, or what God thinks, or anything related to God is ridiculous. The Bible does not reflect or describe the totality of God's power, or spirit ... it was put into context the lowest common denominators could understand. But it also says something else that clearly gets lost in this forum: Don't even try to understand God because He is beyond your comprehension.

And just as God is beyond any human's comprehension, so too is what exists in the minds of fellow human beings. If Person A is homosexual, everyone here immediately warns of eternal damnation, going to hell, and so forth, but here's the deal: That person's fate and life is between him or her and God. Only God knows what exists in that person's mind and soul, regardless of what their physical actions might be. None of you do. I don't either. I may not appreciate what homosexual people prefer, and find it unappealing to watch them be affectionate, but they also aren't my problem, and it would be ignorant for me to believe I have any idea of what their relationships with God might be, or the history of it. The same thing applies to anyone damned by people in this forum.

But to call some posters a "witch" or a "harlot" for their views ... or single out who is going to hell, and who isn't ... you know as much of the relationships between God and each of His children as a nanobe knows about us, and probably much less.

God is adequately described in The Bible and His commandments are listed there. God explains what happens to people who disregard those commandments.
      Isaiah 55
      7
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The Bible does not tell us everything about God but it does tell us everything about His requirements for Salvation. Just as by speech He effected Creation so by His Word we know that homosexuality or witchcraft, to take two from your examples, are wrong AND that they will be punished. Hell, God teaches us, is that punishment.
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
      KJV .. look up

Notice in particular how God is consistent.
      II Peter 3
      5b
by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
      KJV .. look up

God defines what constitutes ungodliness. Where do you get your information about God? What, according to you, are the consequences of sin?

God is adequately described in the Bible. But there is no language in this world large or encompassing enough to fully describe God, and if there was, no human being would ever be able to understand or decipher it. For any one individual to sit here and claim to know what God will do, or how He will react or respond to certain sins is arrogant at best. It has adequately been described in the Bible, but no one here is fully aware of any gay individual's life story, or how they are viewed in God's eyes.

You can cite scripture all you want about homosexuality and immediately condemn anyone who has identified as such, but let me ask you and everyone else here: Do you not also sin? While answering that, could you tell me where God says one sin is somehow more wrong than another, outside the Commandments. If I'm not mistaken, if you want to take the Bible literally, sin is sin, and equal in the eyes of God.

So if a homosexual has accepted Christ as his savior and yet continues to practice homosexuality, how is that different from someone who's saved committing any other sin?

If I came here and said I was homosexual but I've also accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, goodness knows what the response would be. But I could just as easily sit here in the same context and say every single person reading or writing on this forum is going to hell too because everyone sins.

God's Word is written in terms we as humans can understand, but not the complexity with which HE applies them because as human beings, it's beyond our comprehension.

I'm not saying homosexuality is sinless by any means. What I'm saying is for anyone to immediately condemn any single or group of homosexuals to hell because they identify as such is the epitome of arrogance. As would be condemning any other sinner, unless you have a complete, direct knowledge of that individual's relationship with God.

I am not homosexual, but I certainly sin ... much more than I should. But none of you know my personal relationship with God, how I feel about my sins, whether or not I repent, or anything else. If we are on Earth as a test for possible entry into Heaven, we can't expect or think God will use a grading scale we can understand.

Think of it this way: Do you understand the game of football? If so, pick some other sport or endeavor of which you have no knowledge. How would you then be able to go about identifying its best performers or talent? You might see one game or event, and base it on that, but what about those who've participated in hundreds of events? You wouldn't be able to effectively identify those who deserve accolades, nor would you understand the thought process of someone who could effectively identify them. You can read rule books, and statistics, reports, etc., and perhaps get a general idea ... maybe even pick a few correct. Maybe.

But that's one sport or endeavor of a hundred participants. Now imagine God doing something similar for thousands of years with billions of people ... each one an individual. For any human to believe he or she has enough knowledge to condemn someone to hell, or to state whether any one person will go to Heaven is beyond arrogant. And yet that very thing is rampant in this forum.

And to answer a question: The consequences of sin are whatever God wants them to be after He — and ONLY He — has judged each individual based on the spirit and goodness in their heart, their faith and belief in Him, and their worthiness. And only God has the power and ability to make judgments of billions of human beings as individuals, one at a time ... each with his or her own experiences and soul. For anyone here to feel able to step in and make sweeping determinations and warnings is short-sighted and arrogant.

Yes. That's what adequate means! Not complete, just adequate.

God's commandments on the other hand ARE complete. We do not condemn all homosexual perverts to perdition. God does. That is one thing he has told us! And witches and anyone who follows another religion. You are the one contradicting God.

What's that got to do with anything? I've already quoted Scripture showing that.

Our information about God is only adequate. Not complete.
Our information about what He commands is complete. He has given us the complete list. Are you suggesting that there's some species of commandment He has NOT given us? That would not be a commandment at all, would it.

However, you talked about homosexuals, witches, etc. ... let me apply your logic now:

If your image is an accurate representation of you as an individual, you're going to hell. Just by looking at that image, I could - applying the logic that runs rampant here - say without hesitation you are going to hell. You better cast out the demons in your heart, young lady, or you will burn for eternity.

Do you even know WHY I'd be justified saying that? Or what sin to which I refer?

How about reading 1 Corinthians 6:19 for help. Your body is a temple, and you've desecrated that temple by coloring your hair. If you don't return it to its original color made by God, you are a heathen.

Simple, isn't it? But I can't say that. It's between you and God, and I don't know what good you've done in life, or anything about you. But according to the Bible, coloring your hair is equal to homosexuality.

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Just what is it you're suggesting?

Your body is a temple of God, and to alter it or change God's Work is a sin. In any way, shape or form.

Tattoos fall under the same concept. If you agree that God made you, and observe scripture as you yourself quoted it, then changing your hair to red from whatever color it is naturally is desecrating God's Work, and what the Bible says is His ... not yours.

My original point was, while I could easily point that out and consequently say you should change or face damnation, your hair color (and decision to alter it) is only a fraction of your soul and spirit ... both of which are not for me to question, but between you and God.

So, what's your point, pervert? That these alleged "nanobes" are physically incapable of fingering their own anuses?

Rather than waste God's precious bandwidth projecting your homosexual self-loathing onto worthless amoebae, why don't you try to form a meaningful bond with The Lamb?
