    Re: New Believer-Navy

I would prefer a pastor help us on this subject as you have something from Hebrews, where I have another entire portion.

As this actually alters are way of behaving in relation to God -directly- it would be wise to have Ezekial or another help us when he can.

As for today, my birthday, I stayed home and prayed to god.
I spent time reading some of the King James Bible and this was a nice way to spend my Sunday I think.

Also, about the 'Not assembling would hinder the Pastors in their charge of feeding their flocks.'

I respond with the same part of the scriptures.
    Exodus 16:28-30 (King James Version)
    29See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days;

If you want to keep the sabbath, that's fine, but Christians are not required to.

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Hello! I like the way that the poster above me referenced programming in the bible, I was seeking programming as a career, thrown into it more-so by my recent conversion to Christianity, I like to imagine a program which, if in an argument with say, and atheistic heathen, and they say something like "The earth is round." (Which is OBVIOUSLY isn't.) Then you could type that in, and it would show quotes, which when put together, prove it's flat!

To stay on topic, I'm new here too, and wish to be friends with the other Christians here.

          Re: New Believer-Navy

I need to spend some time in the prayer closet asking Jesus for guidance on the Sabbath issue. Until I receive my divine revelation, I will continue to do as He did on the Sabbath:

          Mark 1:21-22
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
          II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Thats a dumb thing to do, the'll decline him. Im in the military. dont do that, sir, simply tell your boss when your in that your uncomfortable being on board with women, although i see no reason why, women are perfectly fine in the military, and i hope to help the cause to let them into the special forces, and infantry. Women are great assets for the U.S. military.

You should loudly tell him that women shouldn't be allowed in the Navy at all! That they should be married to fine Christian gentlemen, cooking and cleaning the home, and bearing little Soldiers for Christ™.

Should he protest, tell him you have the backing of the entire Landover Baptist Church. Tell him that the tens of thousands of fervent members here will bombard him and his higher-ups with well-reasoned and insightful e-mails loudly proclaiming that you have first amendment rights to express your beliefs.

When you see his eyes grow wider in fear of your independence of mind, tell him that he may proceed with his instructions. He will no doubt reward you with exta duties commensurate with your abilities.

Yeah, they've already got something that does that, it's called Google.

There's also the Blue Letter Bible which is very easily searchable if you're having a brain fart.

                  Re: New Believer-Navy

                  Yes, believe it or not.
I believe the closest place would be over a hour away.

I am looking into places around my area that are without Mary as that is the actual only churches around (I saw some Jewish places of worship though).

We have farmland areas here too, you know. Unluckily enough for me, it's somewhat more of the section with a lot of Polish or Jewish people.

It's really no problem as I can view the KJV Bible as well as this web site as the lead.
Once I have found a place (Hopefully within a hour drive) I could visit.
I work many hours, I help my family from Monday to Saturday.
This alone takes about 12 hours (from work and 2 hours with the family minimum.
I spend spare minutes on and off of the computer.
                  Eight hours of sleep.
This leaves a bit less than two hours.
Going with the math of it taking about a hour to drive to a proper church, this would turn to be -OVER- 24 hours and not physically possible.

I must work this much to make ends meet.
I spend time with my family. I currently live near my mother and at this time she has two newborn Christians.
In fact, the youngest was just baptized around a week and a half ago on a Saturday!
It's sadly quite hard to fit anything more beyond my current schedule, however, I will talk to my boss about giving me a normal eight hour schedule (or maybe ten) as to make time for worship at a proper place of worship.

:::::::I will let you know. Though I can not do this during the times of my week, I spend Sunday resting and worshiping in my own house, as commanded.
While I am at work, I pray every half hour to one full hour.
While I am with my family, I pray with them.
While I am on the computer, I am here. At my favorite site, Land Over Baptist.net!::::::::::
