Welcome to God's favorite forum, boy. Did missionaries teach you how to speak American so well?

What church do you attend? Which Bible version do you use? Do you own a pair of shoes yet?

I have heard that the papists have novelty trading cards with their favorite saints on them, not unlike our baseball cards. Do witch doctor trading cards exist in Bats-wana ?

        Re: Des' first go

        Thank you, Pastor Ezekiel.

Missionaries didn't teach me anything yet, they did however bring christianity here, which always is a start! It came built in with the dutch and british, sort of I like speaking english but I have an accent (thank god for the spellchecker!).

I get the cannibalism jokes but I think 99% of the world's population are beyond that by now.

I've started going to the baptist church in maruapula - I came there once with a coworker and that's how all this started in the first place!

I read the Nkabwa Tole Bible version. No, just joking.

Is there other bible versions other than the regular? I have a regular bible and have always read from regular bibles anyway

Boy, there are something like 3,000 different Bible versions. Only one of them is the one TRUE Word of God, and that's the KJV1611. See my sermon HERE on ways to tell which Bible version can be trusted.

So, tell us about yourself, boy. How many times have you been arrested? Have you ever been caned? I hear they still do that over there...

I've never been arrested, I've always followed the law. Why do you assume that I have?

The racial tension here is still felt though. Many black people think that the white have invaded on our land and taken Africa from us, in a way. I understand how they think, and I believe it was very true and actual back in the 1700's when the conquering and settling actually took place, but now, I figure anybody who is born here is a true African. Race doesn't matter. We're all children of god anyway, right?

I have been caned, unfortuneatly. School was harsh. I attended a school with primarily white people which was difficult. If someone was to be punished, it was never a white kid, even if they had done worse than us. I'm certain it's an honor thing.

Absolutely. Everyone can be Saved© if they only accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, repent of their sins and follow the entire Bible to the letter.
1 John 1:7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
              I have been caned, unfortuneatly.
Why is being caned such an unfortunate thing? I don't know where I'd be right now if my father hadn't beaten the fear of God into me as a child.
Proverbs 23:13: Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

                Brother Alex,

I understand that it might be a good thing to use violence in order to learn a child something that it doesn't know it needs to know, as I imagine it was in your case.

Why I consider my beatings unfortunate however, is because they were based on my race and ethnicity, something that is above my control - assigned by the big man himself.
Unfairness on bad grounds is a horrible thing that should not be allowed to exist.

Oh.. yes Micah is a fine book and one of wondrous prophecy (much like Isaiah- my personal favorite book from the OT)

I specifically like Micah's speech on "Last Days": 4:1-12 is great but I have to say my favorite verse there is Micah 4:13

"Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth."

                  Ahh... good times indeed!

I'm not married yet. I haven't found someone yet, I suppose. Still, there's somebody out there for everyone, isn't there?
How old are you Sir? It is important to find a help-meet just as soon as possible as you do have a responsibility to The Lord, you know. He needs more Soldiers of Christ and needs them ASAP.

Who doesn't like pie!? haha - I remember when I was younger, me and my big brother went to Johannesburg to see our aunt and she had made pie. It was the first time I had ever tasted pie and I constantly sought for it afterwards. My favourite pie is apple pie.
Thank you for that anecdote. It is certainly nice to know that even in far flung places like Africa, the sense of family values and pie making ability is now available to you all. I do hope your aunt did not burn the crust though. I am sure that the baking facilities are quite crude there.

The Lord Jesus Christ is someone that I've been growing up with, he's been a part of my family as long as I can remember. Until now, I haven't really acted on religion much, other than it being part of my upbringing but I want to find out more. What can I do for God, what can God do for me? Stuff like that.

Well as that is the case, that you have wasted many years just pretending to know God, that you have been lead (by the Lord of course) to LBC Forum. Now you can start your earnest study of the greatest Man that ever lived, and also died (temporarily) for our sins.
Getting yourself a copy of the KJV1611 is of the utmost importance! It is the ONLY TRUE WORD.

And bat feces? What do you mean?
batsgwano. Oh I am sorry but they sure look the same.

Oh I also noticed from reading your replies to other True Christians™ here that you are from a wealthy family. You DO realise the importance of tithe, don't you?

As you are already up to Micah you should be well versed in Leviticus by now.

                  Leviticus 27:30 - 32
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.

And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.

If you don't have a steady church of your own, I am quite sure that any tithing you would like to do could be directed to LBC. That however is something you would have to discuss with the good Pastors.

Thank you for the intercourse Mr Cole and hope to interact with you in the very near future.

                  YIC,

I didn't want to make a new thread for this - (I'll keep all the desmond-related issues in this thread!) but I have now finally aquired a KJV1611 bible. I got one from the Baptist Church (obvious place, isn't it)

                    I'M SO EXCITED!

This will be incredible, I've read a fifth of it since friday.

A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
"But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.
