You see, you're asking the wrong question. Why was there "halal" meat in your house in the first place? If they sell it in the grocery store you permit her to shop in, you should see that she shops elsewhere. If she went to a specialty store, you should punish her for that. Don't you do frequent unannounced inspections of any shopping she does? If she has strayed, you should look at your own role in not being strict enough from the start.
