My 14 year old brother just got arrested because he caused an abortion at school by hitting a pregant girl from the 12th grade with a stick hes now in jail and facing many charges and the girl is realy depressed she doesnt go to school for 3 days, When asked why he did it he said he was following the word of god and that the bible told him to do so, that the girls child woulnd go to hell and he still thinks hes doing a good thing, I know he did it from reading this landoverbaptist church forums because he was actualy a frequent reader of this website and he believed all that you guys spill out liek the crap guys like crankyoldman and other forum users say, he was afraid of going to hell so he did it.

What shocks me the most is that you guys here dont think consequences have actions

Why exactly would your brother go to Hell because a girl was pregnant?

Did he get her pregnant? Then he needs to repent of his fornications, or he WILL go to Hell.

The child is another matter. Unless the girl was married, the child is a bastard and it will go to Hell. Letting it be born naturally or inducing a miscarriage (an abortion is intentional) makes no difference. Unsaved bastard fetuses have not accepted Jesus and thus go to Hell, too.

There is no place in the Bible where people are encouraged to get abortions. In fact, God makes it crystal clear that causing a woman to lose her baby is a violation of His Law, and a penalty must be assessed!

Exodus 21:22
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

So, it seems that if the girl is married, your brother owes her husband whatever fine the judges levy. If she is not married, then I suppose it can be paid to her father.

Sounds like your brother "fked up" all by his little old self. He didn't read the Bible. He didn't pay attention to what is said here. NOWHERE have we encouraged people to go about and beat pregnant women with sticks, or to induce miscarriages or provide abortion services.

Tell your brother to man up and take responsibility for his own choices for a change instead of looking for someone else to blame . . . especially when he did not register (he couldn't, as nobody under 18 is permitted here) and never asked for guidance.

Now, I'm sure this is an important case in Portugal. Why don't you give us a link to a newspaper story about the incident? I'm sure there are several to choose from . . . right?

You are really making very little sense. Wherever do you see anybody at Landover asking you to take the law into your own hands? Again and again we have stressed the Biblical fact that we are to obey secular laws until the day Biblical rule has been reintroduced (Romans 13:2-6; Titus 3:1-5; Hebrews 13:17, 1st Peter 2:13-15).

If your brother has indeed acted as foolishly as you describe, he will have to reimburse the father for the loss of a young True Christian™ soldier:

This did not came in the news here in portugal because both the familys and the school decided to keep this in secret and the governament has serious penaltys for this on public schools and they censor the media to not cover this things in the news, my family however had to pay a 20000 euros to the other family.
