Greetings from the Lone Star State

    Howdy Y'all!

May I saw how great it is to join a group of devout believers in God's holy word. I am a consultant living in South Texas. I worship religiously at a local non-denominational church. I guess my favorite bible verse would be:

2 Kings 2:23-24 (King James Version)
23And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
24And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Welcome, Texas brush-popper! Just out of curiosity, why did you reject the Baptist Church? You cain't swing a dead cat in Texas without hitting the steeple of one. What is it about your Brand X church that is more appealing?

Hope you enjoy your stay here, Tex! You ain't one a' them all-hat-no-cowboy Texans are ya?

ps, what's that there purple sash thing you're wearing? Your church doesn't accept homers, does it?

Howdy to you too! That's one of the best smitings and displays of God's love, it shows that He looks out for True Christians and defends them from foul sinners! Praised God!

          Welcome Texas Guy,

Those verses are certainly a beaut! I think it is horrifying that those mean little children would tease a man obviously with male pattern baldness. In a way I wish the Lord had also smote their parents as it is obvious those little brats had to learn such disrespect from somewhere.

Are you married and what ever made you see the light and come to the bosom of Jesus?

          There's Jesus here,
Just see what He offers me....
          Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

Wonderful. When God punishes the USA for allowing gay marriage, down in Texas, you'll escape the worst of His wrath due to your strong family values and low taxes.

Wonderful to hear that, provided, of course, that you've been properly Baptized. Out of curiosity, what is your church's minimum tithe? At Landover, it's $250 per week, which is one Hell of a bargain (so to speak).
