Well as I said he is preaching to 'homosexual' peers to turn them from their foolish choice, but in light of this I suppose I should monitor him. I had a problem with his useless younger brother locking himself in his room to listen to modern 'music' (Justin Beaver I think? Some little queer), I used a nannycam to catch him and played it for him while thrashing him to make sure he understood. I suppose this would be another situation.

The fact that Phebe got a personal commendation from Paul speaks volumes. You see my gimpy pasta-loving sheep, Paul too was a servant of the Church. If you read ALL of Romans including 16 in context, you would realize this.

The letter was to the Romans to treat Phebe with the utmost respect and to help HER and do HER bidding.

So I suggest you stop cherry-picking scripture to suit your own sordid fantasies.

I suppose the "I commend unto thee" in the scripture YOU posted doesn't count as commendation? Perhaps you have too many carbs noodling around in that empty vessel you call your skull.

Phebe served the church at Cenchrea in the same capacity that Paul, Apollos, Tychicus, Epaphras, Archippus, and Onesimus did elsewhere. If you had actually read the bible, you would know this. The fact that both men and women alike in Cenchrea had to do what Phebe requested, shows clearly that she was the BOSS there and main servant of the Lord, and not the mere "helper" to any male heirachy. (Except God of course and he is the one both men AND women have to answer to)

1 Timothy 3:11 also implies that Timothy also had women of the same level as he, in his churches.

Why don't you just toddle off and concentrate on the ingredients of your next ragout of worship, rather than delving into issues you cannot possibly understand.

Paul wrote it. It was a personal letter of introduction and commendation. He did that for very few people and only of people of importance.

Perhaps that is why you have never had a letter of introduction or commendation sent about you!

I have and also read the history behind the theology.

Paul's scribe(amanuensis) in the epistle to the Romans was Tertius, the date is AD 58. Paul is dictating a letter, in his room at the house of Gaius in the city of Corinth.

You know what a scribe is, pasta boy? It's like a secretary these days or a stenographer.

If you continue down and read Romans 16:25, you will see that it refers to "MY" (meaning Paul's) gospel.

If you had bothered to check this out, you would not be making quite the ass of yourself that you are right now..

So as such, it was definitely Paul's letter and sentiment.

I don't know about that Jo Freddie. I have a PA and she doesn't state that any letter is from me is from me as to intelligent people, when a PA is delivering a message, it is always assumed it is from the BOSS. Obviously early Christians, despite them living near 2000 years ago were far more intelligent that you.

So let me get this straight, to get Romans 16 to mean what you say it means you can not just take what the bible says, you have to read it along side some other historical & theological references? It is very clear that you can't get it to mean what you claim it means as an independent text.

That is not stated in the text. You are the one claiming that the letter is the intellectual property of someone else other then who it appears to be.

All that is in that text is a letter of introduction for a group of people sent from Cenchrea to Rome, the said letter was carried by Phebes, written by Tertius with no indication of under whose instruction these actions were undertaken. Tertius only refers to himself in the first person and makes no reference to Paul.
