    Hey guys

My name is Ben, and I am glad to have joined this forum.

My current place of Worship is the Temple Shomer Enunim, and my favorite old testament verse is probably what I got to read on my 13th birthday when I became an official "man" in my religion, which unfortunately I can not remember, nor do I think I ever knew what it meant, for it was all in hebrew.

I have came to the forum as you guys seem to follow a magician my ancestors once lived with. I hope I can have fun talking with you guys!

    Welcome and Shalom Ben!

A fine name as I am sure my son would agree.

This forum is not for the thin-skinned Jewish man. The antisemitism, the hate, the insults, the name calling. Be prepared for the worst.

But I welcome you as a fellow Jew and am pleased to see you here.

    Shalom
Acts 14:2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Thanks for your warm welcome, and peace to you too!

I don't understand what you mean by the worst? This looks like an honest Christian forum. My girlfriend is a baptist, and she accepts me for being a Jew, I dont understand why any Christian wouldn't accept someone for who they are! I believe thats what it takes to get into heaven, not hatred and discrimination.

But don't you see? We do accept people. In fact, we accept people enough that in Christian love, we do what we can to warn them away from eternal damnation. Dear friend, don't you want to be our neighbor in Heaven?

Feel free to back that up with Scripture.

I thought this as well when I first came here. But within a couple of posts, they labeled me a "Christ-killing joo". And I've been called every derogatory name one can think of.

I imagine it's bound to happen when one takes the beautiful and simple religion of Judaism and adds superstition, "miracles" and doubletalk. I often wonder if even Iran is actually this hostile to God's chosen people.

Forgive me, there must have been some misunderstanding: I understand from you that you are a Jew and I understand from God that the Jews killed Christ and called out M't:27:25: Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Exactly what are you complaining of?

Did your girlfriend tell you that?

If she's a Baptist, she knows that Jesus is the one and only way to Heaven.

So . . . why does your girlfriend hate you so much that she wants you to spend all of eternity in agony, being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire? Did you forget to put the lid down? Refuse to pick up feminine hygiene products for her at the store?

See, I do not believe in heaven personally myself. I believe that you should live a normal nice life now for the sake of helping others and being with your loving family, not because you are worried about what will happen after death. Have you forgotten Jesus himself was a Jew? Does this mean he will go through eternal damnation even though how much he helped other people and made such an impact on the world?

It's not about the scripture. It's all based on our interpretation of the scripture.

Please show me where the Bible says that it is all metaphorical and you can "interpret" whatever parts you like to mean things other than what they say.

Pilate put the blood curse on his family, not the Jewish People. This however, contradicts this thread that Rev. Rodimer just linked me to.

                      Re: Hey guys

                      Jesus = God.
                      1. Jews worship God.

Jesus does not worship God, because Jesus = God.

                      2. Jews do not believe Jesus = God.

Jesus knows that Jesus = God because Jesus = God.
By these two proofs, it is clear Jesus is not a Jew.

No, Pilate was a Roman. He was born and raised in central Italy and was sent to Judea because he was good at dealing with trouble provinces.

As for who's guilty, you may want to actually read the story
                            Matthew 27
Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? 18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

It's not about the scripture. It's all based on our interpretation of the scripture.

It's all about Biblical interpretation.....good works alone get you in God's good graces......helping others for the sake of helping others.....Are you quite sure you're not a stealth Methodist or Unitarian or some such heathen?
