  • I guess this is me introducing myself

Hey everybody, I don't have much of an intro.
So I guess this is my hello.

I don't have a favorite bible verse, how am I supposed to pick one and say I like it the most? We should love and embrace it all.

Anyway. Some of the comments I read on this site really surprised me. Lots of arguing and some people even resorting to name calling. I'm sure some people joining here aren't Christians but I came by to talk with other Christians. Not to argue. I have a bad habit of flying off the handle when people are rude to me for no reason and I'm admitting that outright.

To all the people out there that love the Lord, say a prayer for me.
    Thanks alot!

    Welcome friend.

For starters, what Church do you attend? What version of the Bible do you read from?

To weed out the unsaved from the saved you simply need to look for True Christian's™, see under my name? Everyone that has that distinction is the real deal. There are so many trolls on this forum looking to persecute us, but that's ok. They only make us stronger, here is some scripture for you regarding persecution.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

    Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Luke 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

1 Corinthians 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

Perhaps you can find a favorite verse here.

    Blessings,

    John

We're glad you are here. Some people think we argue--we are peace makers. If you follow the Bible, you will be at peace.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Re: I guess this is me introducing myself

I'll just respond to everybody right here in one post.

"Perhaps you can find a favorite verse here."
I can't say, 'This is what I like the most in God's Word.' Different verses stood out to me at different points in my life. But that's just me.
Don't know what to say beyond that.

          Other answers:
          - I haven't been to Church in a while.
          - My Bible is the King James Version, but I don't say that for suck-up points. As a matter of fact, you guys will probably disagree with the reason I read that version. The reason is it's the version I'm used to. I got my 1st Bible when I was little, it was KJV, and it's what I still read.
          - As for how I got saved, I don't have a bells & whistles story or anything like that. It's just this simple: When I was 7 years old I asked Jesus into my heart.

Well, it's not us you have to "suck up" to, but glad you read the KJV1611.

So I guess my next question is; what do you hope to gain from joining our Godly forum friend?

Re: I guess this is me introducing myself

John Creeser, I mentioned sucking up because I saw posts about how the King James Version of the Bible is the only one accepted here. Well, it just so happens that's the one I read. But I wanted to be clear about why that is and not sound like I'm just saying what people want to hear. It's not in my nature to say things for people's approval anyway.

You asked what I hope to gain from joining this forum.
Well in my 1st post here I said I came by to talk with other Christians. So I guess that's the only proper answer to what you're asking.
