Apologies i am trying to take care in writing to avoid causing offence. Why is God necessarily a man and not a woman? Is there scripture in the Bible to support this?

Are you saying that you take everything said in the Bible literally or do you have interpretations?

Scott I'll answer your other questions (or maybe a Pastor will) when I can, busy making sure the wife and kids know their chores tomorrow.

The above I will address though; the Bible (the KJV1611) is the literal Word of God and therefore must be taken, literally. All True Christians follow the Bible literally as it is the moral template we live our lives by. It must be followed (TO THE LETTER) in order to gain our place in God's good graces.

In this day and age the masses have forgotten this, and unfortunately to their own peril. Now you must be thinking "John, it's a book, written by man - how could you blindly follow it?" the answer to that is my Faith. Unyielding, unbending and ABSOLUTE. I know in my heart the words are True and so do many others. You cannot just take excerpts from the Bible that make you all warm and fuzzy inside - it ALL must followed...or you're damned. It's that simple - there are no interpretations, only the truth that is the KJV1611.

Yes it is down to me but say a man came up to you and asked for you to teach him about God would you turn around and say to me what you just said? Basically that you aren't going to help and show me the way and that it's all down to me? There are so many interpretations of Biblical work how am i meant to know what is right?

I'd give him a KJV 1611 and tell him to read it cover to cover, all the answers are in there. (If you don't have one search for Bible Gateway on any good search engine and set that website to the King James 1611 Version. Begin at Genesis 1:1. (see what I did there?))

If you want to know why you should read it BEFORE reading it (yee of little faith...) the Pastors of Landover have made multitudes of informative posts on this very forum, YOU should go and look at them!

Ah, you studied creation science. It's always good to admire God's great creations. Amazing that he created everything in just a few days. Very fast when you realize that the idiot who is trying to repair my Hummer has already been working on it for over a week now.

Well you have to admit that it is a bit larger than the average car. But a whole week? What is he doing milling an entire engine out of stock iron? Is his laziness getting in the way of you using your guns? But you are right. In comparison God is a wonder worker. How magnificently everything fits the niche for which God created it.

Well you have to admit that it is a bit larger than the average car. But a whole week? What is he doing milling an entire engine out of stock iron? Is his laziness getting in the way of you using your guns?

I have no idea. It's some new guy I never met before. I got angry at him but he didn't seem to care, at all. They are waiting for some part of which I cannot recall the name.
