Greetings all

Let me first set the record straight at the begining, I'm what you may call an atheist, in the form that I dont' know, feel nor recognize one nor multiple gods. None the less I'll lilke to participate in your community for a short time if permited. My intensions are not to unpreach, be preached nor create problems, insult nor be likewise, my sole intensions are to learn, in this case from people that I haven't had the chance to know.

A little about me, I'm an architect, father of one small boy and happily married for seven years now, although being atheist I'm not anti theist, I do respect old traditions being cultural, social and religious. Self thought in many things and always in search for knowledge. I have a roman catholic background but i was never a fervient believer.

If I'm permited I'll be around reading an learning, without anything more to ad for the moment I'll be off.

Welcome to God's Favorite Forum(tm), friend. Well, I hope that your stay here will convince you of the reality that Jesus Christ died for your sins. You were raised Catholic, which is not Christian, so you've never been in a proper environment. We are here to help you make the change you desperately need.

One question: As an architect, couldn't you have an even better appreciation that the universe was designed by the greatest architect Himself, God?

That's the hole idea of being an atheist, I don't fear a place that does not exist. I only fear the things man can do to each other or to everything else around him, sharing is implicit in coexistence.

Thanks for the quotes I have read the bible several times, I don't know it by heart but do remember some of those passages. though, I'm more interested in reading your own.

I will rebut your claim in a scholarly fashion, unless you go and read these books you can't honestly refute me.

Modern science has proven that God exists (Read "The New Answers" book by Dr Ken Ham it proves scientifically the evolution theory is wrong and the world is 6000 years old, all facts no speculation).

God has given us his Word (read "Evidence that demands a verdict" it explains in simple terms so you can understand why the Bible is so historically grounded and reliable)

In His word God has told us there is a Hell (above two points sum this up, even you should understand this)

In a few of your posts, you state you have an open mind and go so far as to be rather emphatic. Then in other posts, you state quite strongly, you do not believe in God or Heaven. A dichotomy I would say, won;t you agree?
So you can see how confusing you appear to the casual bystander. Are you personally this confused?

Quite frankly I am confused but not in my believes, but as I have been reminded by Felicity ther's no place here for my objectivity, sorry I can't go further in my explanation.
I come here to learn, not debate, convince nor be convinced. I"m at this stage not mature enough tho address this comunity, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness for wasting your time.
For now on I'll be a silent bystander. If you'll like to adress me loking for an anwser I'll have to ask you to do it in a private manner so I can do my best to reply whitout offending to many.
