    Hi

Hi, I'm more then pleased to join your website. I'm not the best when it comes to this computer thing though.

I was born into a Christian family, and go to church on a regular basis. I want to do more as a Christian but I'm not sure how.

Oh, I am also a taxi driver, and play a little guitar. Just so you know a little bit about me.

      Re: Hi

I come from a small town up north in Canada, Stead Manitoba. Our church is relatively small but our praise for the lord sure isn't. We hold a service every Friday night and Sunday morning.
I own the only taxi cab in town, and live with my dear mother who has taken ill these past years. I'm her only support these days, other then the good lord, as my father had past away last year from a heart attack.
I'm hoping to expand my knowledge of my faith so I may help others in my town as alot of them are lost souls and often skip our Friday sermon for the local bar.

What did your father do to anger the Lord so much that He took his life? Was he saved when he passed or did he go straight to the Lake of Fire?

Why aren't you married? I'm sorry you have to live in Canada. Is your taxi a snow cat?

Not to nitpick, but it kind of stands out that you never fail to capitalize "I", yet you consistently fail to capitalize "Lord".

Being Canadian, you probably don't know any better, but it's something to think about if you don't want to inadvertently anger the good Lord.

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
                Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

That's a good point. Nevertheless Steve could also serve Jesus just as well in his native Eskimo land.

By the way Steve, I was always perplexed by this song? Do you think it refelcts a real image of Canadians or do you find it offensive. Speaking as a Scot (no-one's fault, not even the English) I always find that parodies of kilted Jocks are, perhaps not realistic, not always, but certainly justified ins spirit at least.

Does the video make you feel anything? And do you feel Jesus' love Steve?

                        Re: Hi

Here's my favourite passage, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

                        John 18:19-20
The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever(always) taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

Why is this my favorite? it's because Jesus has lied.

                        The lies are:
                        1) Jesus stated he always taught in the synagogues or at the temple.
                        2) Jesus stated he spoke openly to the world.
                        3) Jesus stated he said nothing in secret.

                        Why did Jesus lie?
And aren't all liars said to be condemned?
                        Lie #1
While Jesus did much of his teaching at the synagogue or temple, those were not the only places he taught.
                        Matt 5:1-3, Matt 13:1-3
Clearly, Jesus did not always teach at the synagogue or temple.

                        Lie #2
Jesus stated he spoke openly to the world. What does "openly" mean? Openly means honestly and with clarity. The dictionary defines "openly" as meaning the following:

                        o·pen·ly, adverb
frankly: without making any attempt at concealment

Did Jesus speak openly to the people? Jesus often taught using parables. Parables are stories which relay a message using words as the vehicle. Even the disciples couldn't understand what Jesus was attempting to say and they often had to ask him what his words meant: Mark 4:10-13

Jesus announced only to his close associates what his wordy teaching really meant. He did this in order to hide the truth which was revealed only to his "special" followers. It isn't simply a matter of the common people not understanding what Jesus was saying. It was a deliberate attempt by Jesus to obfuscate the meaning. This is not teaching in openness. It is teaching with deceptive intentions.

                        Lie #3
Jesus stated that he said nothing in secret.

If this is true then Jesus should have taught the people he preached to the same things he disclosed to his disciples. Once again Jesus (actually the author of the Gospel of John), is exposed as lying to the high priest.

As already noted, Jesus said that his close followers were allowed to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven that others were not allowed to know. It follows that the disciples must have been taught some things privately and these things were not revealed to the public by Jesus.

                        Mark 4:10-12, Luke 10:23-24, Matt 13:34-42

Now I assume I'm getting banned for this, but before I go I must let you know what the true meaning of the good word really is and why Jesus lied. He did this to prove that your mistakes on this Earth will not assure you a place in hell, but rather you are to learn from them and keep the good morals. Treat everyone equally, with love and respect. The 7 Commandments and all the stories of the Bible relate to, "just be a good person, keep your mind and heart open." Yes this means, everyone that is different from you. Gays, different races, different religions, everyone.

You can either believe the bible to every last word, in which case Jesus is burning in hell cause that's where liars go, or you can realize that it's stories meant to help you be a better person for everyone.

You folks have a nice day. I'm going to go help out my local soup kitchen.

You are aware that includes plagiarism, right?

Yep, However what I did was technically piracy, see I just copied it, which isn't stealing. Here's the Webster's definition for you,

                              transitive verb
: to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source

                              intransitive verb
: to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source

Since I am not claiming it as my own work but rather that I like the passage you can see how it's not plagiarism. Better question, why are you looking at Yahoo Answers when you should be looking at the word of God?
