    Re: FAITH, HOPE and LOVE

Well if you used the REAL Bible instead of some modern (per)version, you would already know

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

        Is that in the KJV?

Well, it definitely won't be love, son. Not in the LORD's eyes anyway. God values belief -- belief in Him -- over love any given day of the week. Being merely a loving, kind person won't get you into heaven, after all.

Very good, you've learned how to use a dictionary.

The next step is to learn to cite your references, because plagiarism is not only a sin (Thou shalt not steal), it's a CRIME.

                  With pleasure.

Righteous works in itself won't get you in...
                  Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
If you don't believe in Christ, you are condemned...
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
We are saved through faith in Christ, not by just "being a good person"...
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I can continue if you like.

Yes this correct but that was not what I was stating. If you read my posts, you will see that I was asking if you could use your KJV Bible to clarify what charity is?

I Corinthians 13:4 -- Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
I Corinthians 13:8 -- Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
I Corinthians 14:1 -- Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
Colossians 3:14 -- And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
I Timothy 1:5 -- Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
II Peter 1:7 -- And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
III john 1:5-6 -- Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
Romans 14:13-15 -- Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
                      II Thessalonians 1:3 -- We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
I Peter 4:8-9 -- And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
I Corinthians 13:3 -- And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
In short charity is the love of one True Christian(tm) toward another.
                      YiJC, BS

II Peter 1:4 -- Whereby are giuen vnto vs exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might bee partakers of thy diuine nature, hauing escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

You have a problem with reading comprehension? If God meant love, he would have said law.

And what is this "fulfillment of the law" crap you fuzzy bunny's are always going on about?

May I ask where the arrogant attitude comes from? Who are you to presume to lecture us, or speak to us as if you were a Sunday School teacher for small children?

You have told us nothing about yourself yet. I want to know what church you attend, which Bible you use, and your pastor's name. I'd like to have a word with him.

And stop lecturing people. You are a guest here, and an unsaved one at that.

                              Dear True-Christian,

                              -------
First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

This infraction is worth 15 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
