Brothers, as I have quoted above and mentioned earlier, it is my diagnoses that this poor child is not only suffering from the ravages of Muhammadism, but latent and unacknowledged lesbian sodomism.

Her violent mood swings, the hateful lashing out at True Christian™ men that only have her best interests at heart, it all points to the deep confusion that can overwhelm a person during the early stages of full blown lesbianism.

Fatimah, please. You must first admit that you are a lesbian before we can help you! Only then will the light of Jesus shine down upon you! This may be your only chance to choose to cure yourself and be saved! Do not squander His gift of eternity my dear, I beg you!

Mohammed didn't really value him, and did not see him as the Son of God. Just a mere prophet. Mohammed was stating that he himself was the last real Prophet. Right?

I do understand you live in a weird place, with a Bridge between Europe (oh well) and "Asia") over the Bosporus. Heck, these days, there are even Formula I contests over there. One of these days, Turkey might even become a part of Europe (after being a candidate since 1961...)

Tell me why you want to denounce Allah, and get right with the Baby Jesus.

Please forgive my Brethren, as they don't exactly have much sympathy for the denial of the Christian Truth™, but then again, the faith you are trying to leave behind you didn't exactly make friends in the last decade or so.

Why would you want to become a Christian?

Turkey is a very special place, and Istanbul even more so.

        Why jump?

        Tell me.
I'm considering to become a Christian because I want to practice my spirituality equally as men, and be a part of the community. Not hide behind cages or veils. In Islam, as a woman you are not allowed to equally take part in the rituals.

Or maybe because my maternal grandmother who died the week I was born, was a Christian, and we have a striking resemblance, which makes me want to have stronger spiritual ties with her.

I don't know. I'm just trying to find a place where I can feel home, I guess. And I'm only considering. Not decided yet.

Well, I for one will be praying you make the right decision. and that you face other truths that are hidden inside you too.

To what degree did you resemble your grandmother? My sister is the spitting image of my gran. I wish I had pics, I'd post them for you to see.

Anyway, Fatima, start thinking for yourself, pray to Jesus and read the Bible. All of it. Then do as it says. You'll find all the answers there. If in doubt, ask our friendly Pastors here at LBC.

Ravages of Muhammadism??? Unfortunately I have never been a practicing Muhammedan. I truly wish I could, and I wish it was not so difficult to practice in a single, liberal, working woman's lifestyle. And why do you insist I'm a lesbian? I said I'm not sure because I don't believe people can be purely heterosexual. Sure you know that scale (kinsley?? I can't bother to google it now). But until this moment I have been a straight person.

Why am I going on and on about this lesbianism thing, I don't know. This is becoming ridiculous. Sorry.

And what I like most about Jesus is that , I mean the way I see it is, he was the Che Guevara of his time. He was the leader of the poor and common people against the materialistic, powerful, animal-sacrificing religious class.

On the other hand I love the confused, depressed and lost Jesus in Kazancakis' novel.

But I don't know much about this subject to be honest.
                      Hi Fatimah
Jesus came to earth to BE the once and for everyone, animal sacrifice. He had a choice and he chose to die the most terrible death to achieve this. Why? Because such a sacrifice of blood was required - to cover our bad things (sin), bringing us back to God. He was, is and always will be... the Lamb of God.

                        Hey Fatimah!
Welcome to our friendly forums, Jesus called you here for a reason.
I know you were raised quite differently, but you should be open and accept what Jesus wants you to know before making horrible judgments like saying you'd prefer these Godly True Christian Men to be tree-hugging librels.
I suggest you get a copy of a King James Bible 1611 and read verse to verse, without skipping any of it, from Genesis through to Revelation, it's what The Lord wants you to do .
But in the meantime, I'll pray for you.

                        Yours In Christ,

He totally was. He rebelled against the spiritual culture of the day. He was and is an amazing God and the best friend I've ever had :-) It's definitely important to ask a million questions if you're confused. But also remember that just because people say they're Christian doesn't mean they are. The Bible says:

-"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
                            (Galatians 5:22-23 NIV)

-"Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.' But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."
                            (1 Peter 3:13-15 NIV)

-"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
                            (1 Corinthians 13:1-6,13 NIV)

The above is what love looks like and that, no matter how many great things you do, if you don't do them for the right reasons, they're not glorifying to God (you can read Isaiah 1:10-18 for what He says about people who "follow the law" but only do it to please themselves and forget the parts of the Law concerning caring for others). Notice it doesn't talk about how others are interacting with you but only how you are to act toward them - sacrificial and generous and always kind. This is one of the ways to know if someone is actually a follower of Christ the Messiah. People who show you this kind of love - which one can only do with the leading of God who indwells in us when we come into repentance of our sins and love Him - are very probably the best people to talk to about your questions. But even someone like me...I will say that I am a Christian, and can say that all the live-long, but you will know my heart by what I say and do. There are many different, slightly varying, beliefs that can all be under the "Christian umbrella" but the biggest thing is understanding who God is and who you are.

You are made by God. Beautiful but fallen in a fallen world. But you can be made righteous and clean. Nothing you do or don't do will make Him love you less or more but He does hate sin and cannot stand it (He is perfect) which is why, when we don't accept Christ, we are held in judgement for what we have done. When we repent we put our sins on Christ as a perfect (never sinned) substitute for our sins because our sins made us worthy of death. It is by grace and faith in Christ alone that we are saved. That does not make us perfect but the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, indwells in us when we're saved and sanctifies us.

We are called to love the poor, widowed and orphaned and God is the God of the world. Of all nations and of all peoples. That doesn't mean all serve Him but that does mean that He is King over all and Sovereign. He is the lover of our souls and most precious Redeemer to all who call on His name.

II CORINTHIANS 4:34 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
ROMANS 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

                              KJV

No, that's a different god, the one who blinds the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the Gospel should shine unto them.

                              ORPHANS
Which orphans were you thinking of? Here God instructs on the care of some foreign orphans. First up let's make sure this is indeed that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.:

                              NUMBERS 31
                              1
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Yes, this is the perfect will of God so, reading on, what does He command?
2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.
Quick check, are they still following the good, acceptable, perfect will of God?
7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
                              Yes
8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods..
                              13
And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp..
                              15
And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
God is very clear here. All the little boys were killed on the spot. Their fathers were already dead. All the soiled women were killed, right there with the corpses of their sons and the as yet unsorted girls who must have been mightily impressed with the authority of the brave Israelites and their devotion to God.
25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
28levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
Persons - as we know the only persons still alive were orphans, mainly little girls
31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
                              KJV

                              ORPHANS
so how many live orphans are we talking here?
                              God continues:
32a And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught [included]
35thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.
As we know there was no other category, all parents were dead, all the whores had been chopped up together with all the non virgin children. It must have been proud moment for those little girls, knowing that they would soon be the property of a Godly Israelite man.

                              THE HEAVE OFFERING

Everything was added up, cattle, sheep, donkeys and orphans. Half went to the general population (the Congregation) and half went to the brave soldiers. God commanded that a tribute be taken from each of the two halves. The Priests had a big responsibility and obviously would not be participating in any battles. One responsibility was to look after the scrap metal, another was to conduct sacrifices for without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sin.

                              God is very specific.
The prey is divided in two parts, ½ for the soldiers ½ for everyone else
28 And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
29 Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.
What is this heave offering? read about it in Exodus 29:27 . more here
OK, tribute from the Soldiers @ one in 500 is itemised.
3637 SHEEP: 337,500 Tribute for the heave offering: 675 sheep
38 BEEVES: ..36,000 Tribute for the heave offering: 72 cattle
39 ASSES: ....30,500 Tribute for the heave offering: 61 donkeys
40 PERSONS: 16,000 Tribute for the heave offering: 32 little girls
41 And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD'S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
                              KJV . context

I can just see the Majesty and Truth of God's Just Law, the way He blessed those (chaste) orphans (not boys) even though they were heathens (adults excluded, obviously) and what a marvellous display it must have been that day, Oh glorious day! How wonderful to see the Priests adorned bringing that sacrifice before The LORD, heaving aloft those 675 forequarters of mutton, the freshly skinned and jointed 72 shoulders of beef, 61 butchered donkeys and front portions of the 32 little girls.

But God knows all about the need for food and recreation, at least for the priestly caste (and off duty soldiers) and made special provision for their needs in the higher rate Tribute from the congregation, itemised briefly: there would be an additional 320 orphans for the Priests.

The "god of the world" makes no such provision for its deluded buffoons. With no moral compass how should they ever know how to treat orphans or widows, let alone which orphans and widows. Bedazzling in its manic masquerade as an angel of light this wretch is SATAN determined to get you into HELL FOREVER and give you nothing in return. That is called hate.

But there is an answer! Only God was able to do something about such a state of affairs, through His Just Law, as outlined above and as detailed in The Bible. Heave offerings only go so far though and God requires perfection. He gave us His Only Begotten Son and arranged for Him to be hacked up a bit (without breaking any bones) so that His blood could drain out onto the dirt at Calvary changing the whole of Creation. Forever.
