    My Intro

The beginning of your page states "Attention Unsaved Trash"... So, since you've obviously started out on an insulting note, not even knowing who i am before labelling me a 'trash' i believe your inquest into my identity merits no response, save for this: The JESUS I ENCOUNTERED IN DECEMBER 1990 IS NOTHING LIKE THE ONE YOU DEPICT HERE! There's too much hatred for mankind on this site it's mind-boggling. If I didn't know better, i'd have thought Osama Bin Ladin was your pastor!

    Re: My Intro

That's not much of an introduction.

Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

Can you show me how we have misused the Bible?

Uh huh, so because we quote from the Bible extensively you think a radical mooslim would be our pastor?

... Would you care to explain your thought process here?

Furthermore, please feel free to show us any examples of us taking scripture out of context and explain what it really means. It's OK, I can wait.
"Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Well, aren't you very self important! Friend, had you actually carefully read any of the posts you are purported to, you would of seen we are following His Word.
            We do not alter it.
            We do not interpret it.
            We do not 'wing it'.
We do not sugar coat it.
God had the Bible written in a very specific manner with perfectly chosen words. It is the Word of God after all. God create man and the ability to communicate, therefore He has a divine ability to do so. Therefore, the words in the Bible are perfect words and as such, must be followed precisely.
So...you show us where we did not follow the Word of God. Please show us where we interpreted, altered, 'winged' or sugar coated it. God tells you to jump, you jump. God tells you to kill, you kill. God tells you certain people are bad, you're darn tootin' those people are bad and must be dealt with according to His scripture.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Well, that's much better. Thing is, I'm still in the office making reports (it's 8:30pm right now in Lagos, Nigeria) so I'm not sure I have that much time to spare. We run a 12hr economy here.

Well, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm Anglican. My parents were Anglicans. I'm married and an expectant father. I'm a researcher with a food conglomerate. I do research into quality and safety systems, paid to design, develop, provide measurement and ensure improvement in line with best applicable practices in the food industry...well, so much for me at the moment

My favorite verse of the Bible is Mark 12:17 "...render unto Ceasar the things that are Ceasar's, and to God the things that are God's."

I LOVE that verse because, you see, I write a bit of code so I know and appreciate the invaluable nature of computer logic. Well, that particular verse burst all my logic bubbles when it sank in years back. Jesus was asked a 'yes or no' question. But His reply revealed not all 'yes or no' question requires a 'yes or no' answer. I still get goose bumbs just thinking about that 'logic'. No, it wasn't logic, else He would have given a yes or no answer. Just don't know how to describe it but it's deep...very deep.

Encountered the power of God through my best friend. He was a pacifist. Two years younger than me, he past away August 13, 1996. An explosion in a lab he was working at. Nothing has been the same since. Many times I wonder what to make of God in the midst of so much evil happening to good people. That's why I'm averse to violence or anything slightly resembling it. My best friend (of blessed memory) showed Christ to me and that Christ never commanded him to kill, hate, or wish me ill despite all I did to him when he was alive. That's why I can't subscribe to any semblance of violence. I'd rather walk away. And I'm not sorry I'm a pacifist... You see, every man dies, but not every man really lives.

                Take care, Pastor.

I can tell from your posts that you have not spent much time reading the Bible, or at least not the KJV. That is not an assumption: that is an observation.

Do you interpret the color Blue? Do you interpret a wife? One is a specific color, the other makes babies for Jesus, nothing else.
All words have a specific meaning, Combined, a sentence is created that makes a statement. God does not empower any flesh and blood person to 'second guess' Him. If God wanted the words to be taken with a different meaning than those they do, he would of said so. There is no preamble in the Bible that states "Make it up as you go, I do not care. - God" Do you know better than God?
God is not a drunk prom date who says 'No' means 'Yes'.
Real power is being able to stomach Gods commandments and do what He demands, be it stoning your son or selling off a daughter. Only a yellow bellied wimp would refuse to do what God commands.
