    A new friend!

    Hello!

I'm new here and I haven't really had a chance to read all of your posts because I have to run back to the college in just a few minutes to return some homework. I randomly searched for a good Church forum so that I could ask some people a few questions regarding a friend of mine that decided, that, after five years of friendship, he would call it quits with me because I didn't have a religion.

When I mean that I know nothing about religion, I mean, that, when I registered, I had to call someone up and ask them what that "random question was" about "Who was the first man."

So, go easy on me. I'm a curious person that enjoys making new friends and learning about the worlds many wonderful religions!

As for myself: I am of Japanese descent, I love the USA and am a proud American. I love to write stories; I enjoy sports of nearly any kind -- basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, running, racquetball, anything goes! My friends mean the most to me in life because without them, I'd have no one to make smile hehe.

I'm looking forward to making friends here and having a great time learning what I can about your wonderful belief system.

I'll return to greet you all as soon as I get back later today; Until then, have a wonderful afternoon and I'll catch back up with you all later!

    Your new friend,
    Tiffy

    Hello Sister!
Welcome to Gods favorite forum. I think that your male friend was right, why would he like to be friends with a non-True non-Christian?
I would suggest that you start reading the KJV Bible, from the beginning to the end, it will tell you everything you need to know. I am not to sure about you being a gook, but since I am an Sindinavian (and a girl) myself, I have no right to judge!
Also: why are you in college? Your father should have married you of by now!

    Yours in Christ

Why did your husband send you to college? To learn cooking and how to clean? He didn't know you couldn't do these things before you were married?

Speaking of which, you have his permission to be on the internet?

          Re: A new friend!

Welcome aboard, I'm sure we'll have you saved, tithing, and studying the Bible in no time. Quick question - when the nips do Pearl Harbour II, as they inevitably will, which side will you be on?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Wow, a lot of speedy replies. Some of the questions I don't quite understand but I'm sure that they were written with a smile behind them.

As for the college thing, I'm not quite sure. I mean, I go to college with many other girls and we all have a good time. I am recently married, yes, but I don't know how you knew about that, and that I had a husband. But it wasn't he who sent me to college; I'm on a scholorship, plus my wonderful parents help me out.

As far as Pearl Harbor goes to answer another question; I'm a very peaceful person and hope that war eventually goes away altogether.

And for the Proud American response -- America has many religions, many beliefs, and even people that don't have any at all. It isn't meant to be offensive and I realy and truly hope that my being here causes no problems. I aim to learn from all of you and hopfully make a few wonderful friends along the way!

I have plenty of questions but I'll come back as soon as I can. My studies await me.

Being True Christians we are of the opinion that a woman should tend to the needs of the home and honoring your husband. College only hinders this, I am not sure why you wouldn't want to take care of your home, it should be your first priority. Who takes care of your sons? Do they just wonder around alone sticking their fingers in electrical sockets? Curious as to why your husband would allow this.

And for the Proud American response -- America has many religions, many beliefs, and even people that don't have any at all.
Unfortunately you are very correct, it's a huge problem. As a True Christian it breaks my heart knowing so many people are going to burn in hell

Well, if I were you I'd try and find time to study a bit about the fundamentalist Christian beliefs of the founding fathers. That's what this country is based on.

                    Re: A new friend!

We don't have children yet. My husband is agnostic which means he, too, has a respect for all religions just like I. I go to college because I want to study underwater geology. It's a fascinating field to learn in and I love the water. So, when thought about this way, we don't have too many problems keeping up the home. Usually we split the tasks between the both of us. Some days, Eric will. We're in an apartment so there is no grass to cut. We both get home at around the same time during the day so we get to see each other plenty; we have been and always will be each other's best friends, and of course the love is there throughout all of it. He's a wonderful guy.

We live, study, and work close to the house as well so everything is fairly well taken care of. We love our life and for me to be here is my personal attempt to be more understanding, and more worldly toward you, and all of my friends as a whole. I love taking in all that life has to offer.

But you are clearly having severe difficulty being Christians. I believe that is the problem that Brother Creeser was offering to pray for. I'll certainly be praying for you tonight.

I'm praying for your immortal soul child. Everything you've written is leading you on a path of damnation. You're agnostic, you share household responsibilities with your husband (that's your job), you want a career and respect terrorists.

You are so far off God's salvation radar I don't think you'll ever get back

But thank you so much for being so kind. You seem cool.
*I* want to save you from yourself but I think I am too late. Child you need to accept Jesus and stop your sinful ways. Please before it's too late

I think I am misunderstanding your intentions a little. I am so sorry but this is confusing to me. In your religion, going to college is wrong? I know plenty of christian men and women that go to college. In turn, I hope that none of what I have said or asked has offended you. I'm truly curious about how to smoothly be accepted by all of my friends, Christians included.
