WOW way wrong....

So I messed up. I thought this might be a great place for a new Christian (myself) to learn and talk to other Christians. Well I know that the people who use this site would very much disagree, but I believe this site and its users would lead me in the wrong direction in Christianity.

I do not want to say the name of my church because I do not want its name being tarnished on this site. I know I have not been a Christian for that long, but even when I was living my life without God I would strongly disagree with peoples strong opinions here.

The first topic I read was about a husband talking about him and his wife not being able to have another child, and that he was thinking of using one of his young teenage daughters to have a child. I do not see in anyway how anyone in their right mind would even think this is morally and legally ok. Maybe they should go to a doctor to find out if there is any way for them to have a child. And if that doesn't work, there are plenty of children in the world who need a loving Christian family to adopt them.


Then I read a posting talking about how rape is a "woman's" fault or something for dressing wrong. Sorry if I'm not 100% right, I couldnt finish reading it. I cant even tell you everything that is wrong with that statement. You shouldn't be blaming a girl for being raped on what she wears or anything. You should be thinking of how to help her on to the path with God and getting over what happened to them. My best friend and Christian who was the one who helped me find the path to Jesus was raped. So is she not a true Christian then because in some way it was her fault and was asking for it.

Another I read was about a man who hit his wife, and the sad thing to me is that everyone who says they are Christians were happy and congratulated him on what he did. I do not think that God who wants us to be loving and compassionate people would ever want us to hit our wife. It seems that most of the people on here believe that women are disposable and are only here to cook and clean for us men. Jesus wants us to have loving and understanding relationships with our wives and to work through any challenges this world brings. Not to snap at them for disagreeing with something. I could go on forever, but I think I got down the basic idea of mine.

The last post I read was straight up discriminating women like they are a lower being than men. I don't even see why people would think this. We marry women for the love and adventure of being Christian together and to raise children to teach them about our loving God and to prepare them for the sin in this world. I'm kind of going off now so I'll stop, sorry.

The other thing that kind of bugged me was people telling other people they are going to hell and this damnation stuff. The only person who can and will judge anyone is Jesus, no one else has that power. And then there are all the silly posts like

Just read a little and thought they were silly. Sorry if I offended you.

Ever one on this world, Christian or not is entitled to their personal opinion. And if everyone on this website is happy and have a good relationship with Jesus, than I am happy for you. But I respectfully disagree with the messages you are promoting about Jesus and his word. So if you disagree with what I believe than please do it respectfully yourself. I will pray for every one. Obviously your "church" is serving up a heaping helping of bland gruel; spiritual pablum for the lazy soccer moms and dads who call themselves Christian, warbling those sing-songey "Jesus is my Lord" 1000-stanza valium non-hymns to a jumbo-tron, while your happy-clapper pastor feeds you warm fuzzies of the sort you spew.

Read the WHOLE Bible, KJV 1611 preferably, then show us BIBLICALLY where we are wrong.

It's sad, but so many "Christians" do not read their Bibles and just sit in church, on the rare times they attend services, and listen to the "pastor" tell them that God is love and everyone goes to heaven and you just need to be a good person and -- even more shocking -- that whatever the "majority" thinks is "right" should apply. God doesn't care about your sensibilities and whether YOU think women should be able to speak in church or cut their hair. God cares about what GOD thinks.

If you have any questions about the Bible or need help finding your favorite passage about, please let us know. We quote chapter and verse and this will help you on your Christian walk.

Even though you are a "new Christian", you are already expert enough to go around lecturing other Christians on how we are doing it wrong. We are certainly not too proud to take correction. If you can show us, using scripture, how we are in error, we will be much obliged.

Are you claiming that although you have become a Christian, you still have the same basic outlook on life, right and wrong, etc., as you did when you were "living your life without God"? Becoming born again is a fundamental transformation. What has changed for you?

My outlook on life was dramatically and permanently altered when I got saved. When I was living my life without God, I also would have strongly disagreed with what is posted here.

Before I got saved, I lived by my own sense of right and wrong instead of reading and believing the Bible to learn God's sense of right and wrong. I was, for all intents and purposes, a secular humanist pretending to myself that I was a Christian -- a Christian in name only -- just like the vast majority of so-called Christians in the world today.

Back then, I sounded a lot like you.

That's because you haven't read the Bible. Read the story of Lot and his young teenage daughters in Genesis, and then read the New Testament where the apostles described Lot as a righteous man.

Of course we don't have the power to send people to Hell, and no one here claims to. The Bible tells us how to know if someone is going to Hell, and how they can be saved. We use this knowledge to warn people so they can get right with Jesus before it's too late.

But I respectfully disagree with the messages you are promoting about Jesus and his word.

The problem is, the messages we are promoting about Jesus and His word come directly from Jesus and His word. We aren't sitting here making this up. Everything we say comes from the Bible.

Dear Breadhead, welcome to the Landover Baptist Church Forums. I send praises to the Lord that you found us. I am very sorry to hear you feel there are many problematic issues with Christianity and that you feel there is much that is either wrong or disagreeable. I too, originaly shared many of your reservations. But that was before I read the bible and came to know God's love. If you put your trust in the holy sciptures of the KJV Bible and study, there are many knowledgable people here who will be willing to gladly answer any questions that might arise.

Untill you are more familiar with God's devine wishes, I sugest you avoid some of the more difficult and problematic topics of discussion and stick to the more basic items. For example, I sure you can have no argument with the simple premise that Anne Frank was a worse person, more deserving of eternal damnation, than Adolph Hitler.

All you did was barge in, create a strawman, make ad hominen attacks on that strawman, and then leave, basically admitting that you can't dissagree with the points I made.

Look let's pretend for a moment that I really am a hateful loner. Also I believe that 1+1 equals 2. I guess we all have to relearn math now, because, as a hateful loner, everything I say is automatically wrong, according to your logic?

If you can prove us wrong using logic or facts (meaning the Bible, you know, that thing written by GOD), I will be glad to see your point of view. It would sure be easy having mainstream opinions like yours. But without proof, from the mouth of GOD, I'm not going to change your mind and you will burn in hell, respectfully or not.

You seem to have made up your own delusions of "women's rights" when they are clearly set in the Bible. You're obviously too lazy to actually read the Bible so I took the liberty of citing all relevant scripture related to women:

Again, since you obviously haven't picked up a Bible. God tasks us with pointing out the wrongs of others, as written in ...you guess it...THE BIBLE!!

Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

Proverbs 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

That should give you a better understanding that you're far from a Christian. In other words before you start calling yourself a Christian (which you are not), read the Bible (KJV1611) and WAKE UP!!!
