  • ehm hi

Well apparently it is best for me to make an introduction here.
Besides being baptised I haven't had a religious upbringing, so I tended toward atheïsm at an early age. I am however trying to change and find Jezus. And I hope this community can help me with that.

It was said I should post my favourite Bible verse here, it is the following:
Proverbs 29:20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Well, hope this is enough, I'm not good with introductions in little white boxes...

Why do you come here, to a privately owned Christian forum, to torment us?

Please "John" and "New Creation". Why only read the bad if he's trying to search the truth that is the holy bible. Forgive him on his chosen words and pass on a positive vibe to those who are new to learning the ways of god.

That's certainly true if you were "baptized" as a baby. Infant "baptism" is an affront to God, and only when you are old enough to accept Jesus into your heart can you be TRULY baptized!

I am however trying to change and find Jezus.
I'd find that easier to believe if you didn't insultingly misspell His name.

          I'm not good with introductions...
          Obviously.

He spelled "Jesus," arguably the best known name in history, with a "z," then he admits to being an atheist and pretty much calls us fools, with a Bible verse no less.

You refer to yourself as a Christian and you're not outraged that he's spelling (intentionally) the name of our Lord and Savior wrong?

                Whoops, excuse my misspelling.
To my defense, I was raised Dutch, not English and all my life I've been thaught (wrongly I assume) that our savior was named Jezus. I will do my best to remember this mistake and use the right name, Jesus.

About the baptism. Obviously I still have a lot to learn, and that is one of the main reasons I joined this forum.

Welcome friend, what pasage in the KJV makes you move in the morning?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hmm, a difficult question, there are so many passages that can lend you strength. Yet this one comes to mind:
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

I have read the Holy Bible, but as I said, I'm still trying to reform, I have not yet read it that often that I can quote random passages at will. Some I remember and then look them up.

Don't be fooled by this "Oh I'm sorry I am Dutch this is how we spell Jesus where we come from", malarky. It is all lies. He is a God mocker that thinks Americans are too dumb to question such logic. Most Dutch people are too busy walking around in perverse wooden shoes, sticking their fingers in dam walls, sniffing cheeses and inventing words that nobody else can pronounce, to know or care anything for Jesus. For the odd one or two who do know Jesus, they spell his name exactly the same way we do.

I can smell your cheese from here Beertyah.
