        There had been quite a lot of news about "migrants" arriving in northern Europe especially around seaports and I felt led to witness at some of the truck stop locations which around here are called lorry parks. The ones we see on televised newscasts don't look too impoverished or feeble and some of them are armed with machetes? Well if I could avoid the machetes, here was an opportunity for me while I'm away from home so I claimed II TIMOTHY 1:7 and set off.

        My first question arose almost immediately. Well not my question but something presented to me which I wasn't sure how to deal with. The person concerned hadn't read The New Testament but was relying on some very implausible material from the dark ages which didn't surprise me but of course I have read it and this urger was talking about his family and it was very difficult to get him off the subject. He actually looked a bit like I'd imagine a Macedonian jailor to be:
        ACTS 16
        BACKGROUND
        12a, 13, 16 [In] the chief city of that part of Macedonia, on the sabbath, we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
        18b But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
        22-23 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. And…cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
        THE MAIN EVENT 26-30 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.         It would seem that the jailor's household had some opportunity to hear The Good News prior to baptism but there was an earlier example of a businesswoman whose family might not have heard or her household which would probably include slaves as indeed would the jailor's I suppose who would have to do whatever he told them. From the same chapter:
        LYDIA 14-15 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us. KJV

        God doesn't explain the exact sequence of events. Was Lydia selling her purple by the riverside accompanied by her entire household? This was just before the demon possessed damsel came along and it must have been quite a busy spot really but my question relates to these households. Did they just have a baptism because they were told to? If the family obsessed migrant I was speaking to last night accepted Jesus what would be the status of his family?

        When Lydia and the jailor accepted The Word all their households were included. If one of these migrants did likewise, should they dump their families &/or servants and look for something more local? Or would their families be covered on an interim basis subject to accepting Jesus once they heard The Gospel for themselves?
        Of course once they did they could just laugh it off and stick with pagan idolatry or fire worship. Then they would go to Hell. I'm meeting him again tonight so would appreciate any advice on this.

                  If you accept that you are worthless on your own, and you recognize that JESUS is the Son of GOD and is the only way to Heaven, and you confess your sins, you can be saved! You are really on your way to happiness!


                  2. Is it enough just to believe in JESUS?

                  No!

                  JESUS, being the ultimate manifestation of love and justice, says that if we really care about Him at all, we will do everything He says:

                  If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

                  You can learn more about what GOD's rules are for His people by reading the entire Bible all the way through.


                  3. Can my family and friends be saved?

                  Maybe!

                      I do like the in-depth information you have given, in regards to whatever new person comes into here, wanting to be saved.
                      My name is James, I am a 46 yr old man has been without religion, or guidance, since I was about 8 yrs old. I was baptized a Catholic, but never really practiced. I have no church I presently worship at, and am working on getting my own copy of the King James Bible from the nearest area to me. I guess you would say I have been "out in the cold," wandering and lost. I am getting to understand the reason and purpose for giving one's self unto God, to serve him well. I came across your website, and started getting into the forums to read some of the topics, and the feedback from many people. I have found them to be very informative and enlightening, from the subjects relating to husbands and wives, to the selling of one's daughter, to bringing back slavery, to the Donald Trump Appreciation....to False Religions and Cults... I am feeling I could really appreciate, and agree, with the way of life, as told through the King James Bible.
                      I have had many sins in my life, and I do not know if I can overpower them to cleanse myself...but I can try.

                        God can cleanse you, dear friend:

                            You can never overpower sin or cleanse yourself. That is lesson number one of Jesus.


                            Jesus died on the cross so that His Perfect Blood would wipe out your sins before the Perfect, Sinless, Holy God.


                            Just confess your utter worthlessness before God. Accept that Jesus and Jesus alone could atone for your sins and spare you from Hell. Ask God to cover you with Jesus' Blood and Done!


                            You are washed clean as white wool by virtue of Jesus' red corpuscles. In fact, it's the only time in the history of the universe where red makes white!


                            After that, you just pray with complete faith, read the Bible and obey its every command. It also helps to fellowship with others who read and obey its every command. And that is why we are here.

                                Interventions exist to help you. They are meant to help you to find the solution for your problems if you want to be a Christian and get to spend eternity with Jesus. You need to repent for all your sins, the most repulsive and the most mundane ones, if there is a difference anyway (James 2:10).

                                The best thing you can do if you want to become a Christian is tell the pastors everything about your lewd ways, leave no detail unmentioned, and accept the HUGE Love of Christ.
