  • A question.

Hello all, me and someone i know recently got into a fight. I am an atheist and do not believe in god. Unfortunately we had a fight about god, i asked him evidence that he existed.

Long story short: He told me to come here.

Please do not flame or mock me, i would just like to see some physical evidence that god exists.

    Thank you.

    Here you go:

That is all the evidence anyone requires. If God didn't exist, how could He leave His Word for us?

    Isaiah 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

    II Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    II Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

If you are having a hard time locating a Pure Cambridge Edition King James Authorized Version ©1611, you can print one from here and put it in a binder. I have several already printed out that I hand out when witnessing on the streets of Des Moines. Suffice it to say, I'm a familiar face at the Kinko's.

Now that I have shown you proof, are you ready to be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as your personal LORD and Savior?
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

      Re: A question.

Well for starters, there's the KJV Bible. How could something ranging from 66 books and thousands of pages not contain a single error except that it was inspired by God?

Science also supports the Bible as leading creation scientists have shown incontrovertible evidence (regarding seven-day creation, flat earth, etc.) that the fables wrought upon by the Darwinists have been empty and nonsensical.

The question isn't so much "Where is the physical evidence of God?" but rather "Why are you so thickheaded to ignore the mounds of evidence before you?".

I simply view that still as text written by a man, but thank you Jedediah! I'm printing what you sent me right this moment, i think it will be an interesting book to read while i'm trying to fall asleep.

Who cares what you think? The only opinion that counts is God's.

You can't understand the Holy Bible because your father was satan.

John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

By the way, you could at least be courteous enough to introduce yourself, this being the introductions thread after all. Tell us about yourself, your religious upbringing, and why you hate Jesus.

Hold on there. I, even as an atheist, think you should read the KJV. It is, without argument, the most important book ever written in the English language.

Mortal man may have transcribed the Word, but God told them what to write.

                      Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

                      Jeremiah 36:2
Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

God's Word was written by holy men moved by the Holy Ghost.

                      II Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Bible was written by God, through men. The best way to simply describe the inspiration and preservation of the Bible is as follows:

Inspiration is when God takes a blank piece of paper (papyrus, vellum, etc.) and uses men to write His words.

Preservation is when God takes those words already writtenand uses men to preserve them to today.

Both of these actions are DIVINE and are assured by God as recorded in

                      Psalm 12:6-7
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

In Psalm 12:6, God assures us that His originals are perfect. Even though penned by fallible men with the heinous sins of murder (Moses and David), adultery (David), idolatry (Solomon), and denial of the LORD (Peter), God's Word is untainted by the sins of the penmen. Psalm 12:7 plainly states, "thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Thus we have God promising to preserve the same Words that He inspired. Not too much of a feat to overwhelm such an omnipotent Being... That the originals were inspired and preserved perfectly in their entirety is an undisputed fact among Jesus' elect.

i don't ignore evidance [sic], i just haven't seen any.
If you would stop being so close-minded, you would see evidence for God's existence all around you. Sin puts distance between us and the LORD. When we accept Jesus into our hearts and surrender to God, we are drawn into His bosom and see things as they truly are.

If you need material evidence for God's existence, I suggest browsing the Creation Science forum below.
