If you're referring to the Romanist sacrament of confession, you need to be aware that the Bible teaches no such thing. The confessional makes the priest a mediator between God and man, when only Our Lord Jesus Christ has that role:

1 Timothy 2:5-6: For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

In fact, we are to confess to one another, not to a priest specifically:

James 5:16: Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
