Re: Tell Me About Me
This isn't surprising. Jesus told us we will be hated for His name's sake.Originally posted by YAVmouse View PostI've heard a whole lot of bad things about this place, and only a few good. But I'm willing to at least give it a chance, hear you out, etc.
John 15:18-21
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
We were all sinners once (Romans 3:23). Indeed, we are born into sin (Psalm 51:5), which is why everyone who does not accept Christ goes to hell, whether they have heard the Gospel or not (John 14:6).The Bad:
I'm a furry. I'm gay. I don't currently attend a church regularly. I am bipolar, have Disassociative Identity Disorder, and Tourettes. (Most of that was caused from being born 4 months early as a C-section.)
But there is Good News! You don't have to go to hell!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All you have to do is accept Jesus' gift. Like all gifts, it is freely given. You must simply accept Him as your personal LORD and Savior and follow all His commandments (Matthew 7:21), as given in the Holy Bible (KJV 1611). Once you have received Salvation through sanctification of the Spirit, you will be made perfect and, indeed, will find yourself quite incapable of persisting in your sinfulness.
I John 3:6-9
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Excellent! Have you read It? It will change your life. The Good:
I own a Bible.
I Timothy 4:13
Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
I'd make giving up magic one of your top priorities at this point. It's a sure-fire ticket to an eternity of unfathomable torments in the lake of fire. The questionable:
I'm a magician, and daily fight thoughts of bad things like self harm...etc.
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Then your next priority should be to keep your hands away from your tallywhacker. Every time you spill seed outside of your wife's fertile womb, you commit an act of genocide against millions of potential little soldiers for Christ. It sounds like you've dug yourself a pretty deep hole, which is all the more reason to accept Christ TODAY. After death, there is only Judgment.
II Corinthians 6:1-2
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
There, there. Sweet Jesus will make it all better.I didn't really grow up in a Christian home, it was kinda shattered.
Indeed, we are blessed by their persecution. Most of the people I talk to have had.. either not a lot to say about Christians, or a lot bad to say. But..most of these people were ignorant and acting on hearsay.
Luke 6:22
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Amen. If you really want to know what we Christians believe, you simply need to turn to the Holy Bible. You mentioned having a Bible, but you must be very certain that your Bible is a true Bible. If you don't have your own copy of the King James Authorized Version ©1611, I suggest the version available here. Every Christian should print out and bind their own version, obtained through a trustworthy source. The church NEVER should have put Bible publishing into the hands of heathens! It was like they were just.. attacking a straw man, on the christian stereotype.
Hosana! Our Christian Love is often misunderstood. Why do you think we are here, spreading God's Word to lost souls? It is precisely because of our love for all of you. If we didn't love you, we would just ignore you and let you continue to wallow in depredation without trying to get you to wake up and realize that you will burn in the lake of fire for all eternity if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your personal LORD and Savior. In meeting some real Christians? I've found them to be very loving. I didn't always agree, and I didn't always like what they had to say, but.. they were loving (and most times even turned out to be right! =p)
Hebrews 12:5-8
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
My family and I will pray for you. The LORD has brought you here for a reason. I hope that you will make the right decisions so that you may one day join us in Heaven.

That's a good attitude, friend.Originally posted by YAVmouse View PostOh, no. Money most certainly can not fix my problems..only God can do that.
You're entirely correct that only God can fix your problems, like being gay, and a furry, and practicing witchcraft.
First step is to give up your prayers to Satan, OK? Magic spells don't work unless Satan makes them work.
Next step is to sit down with your Bible and start reading. I realize it may seem a bit daunting, so here's what I recommend:
Set a goal for yourself of just reading the Book of Genesis over the next few days. It's really not that long, and it's pretty much all stories.
As you read each story, take some notes. First, write a sentence or two to tell you what the story is, and where in the Bible it is.
Then, write any questions you have.
Finally, write down what the story tells you about who God is. What does He value? What has He decided is right and wrong? What has He decided is fair? Whom does He love?
I guarantee that by the time you've read just the Book of Genesis, you will have a much richer, more complete, and far more accurate idea of who God is than any fluffy-bunny false-christian preacher will ever provide.
If you don't want to read alone, check the links in my signature for additional resources.

Re: Tell Me About Me
No, I think you're going to have to work on it. You have a lot of issues and it's obvious that you want to stop all of this destructive behavior and follow a path of truth and righteousness. You might as well start now before God strikes you down and sends you to Hell.

Hey, my name is Ben. I just wanted to join this site to see what it's all about. I'll be honest. I've heard a whole lot of bad things about this place, and only a few good.
