Re: Introductory Thread
Er, uh, that is to say, I'm assuming your private parts aren't stinky.
Because I've always known you to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and Christian Hygeine™.
And I certainly wouldn't have any other knowledge beyond that.

You made an ignorant assertion. Now you claim you knew the correct facts, which contradict your assertion.Originally posted by Wishindo View PostWhy do you care?

1) Did you know that the majority of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew, parts were in Aramaic, and the New Testament was written in Koine Greek?Originally posted by Wishindo View PostWhat? Quote some evidence

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule of worshiping satan and sodomizing young children in public restrooms to post this hateful message. The Holy Bible tells us that we are actually Blessed by your persecution! Thanks for proving that we're right.
Enjoy hell. I know that Jesus and I can't wait to watch you burn in hell for all eternity. Oh, how we'll laugh at you as you scream in agony! Shout Glory!!

5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Didy, I know that you, as an atheist, hate God so much you pretend you don't believe He exists.Originally posted by Didymus Much View PostWhatever. Stop ducking the question:
But people like Wishbone here, they believe that "something" exists. It's something that is more powerful than them, but which also agrees with them on everything. Sort of a father figure, I guess, but one that loves everybody and grants wishes.
Reading the Bible would destroy that image. Wishbone would have to learn all of God's 613 Commandments (yeah, not just ten), and he'd have to obey them all, or go to Hell. He'd have to learn that God doesn't love everybody, only those who obey Him. And he'd have to learn that almost all humans will spend eternity being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire for failing to obey God's Commands, even if they had never heard of God.
We True Christians™ (and educated atheists like you) know that Wishbone is presently committing the sin of idolatry, by making up his own god and worshiping it instead of Yahweh. But if he avoids reading the Bible, he can live his brief life in a delusion.

If you're an atheist, why are you on a Christian church's discussion forum?Originally posted by Wishindo View PostDidn't anyone tell you that hell is an empty threat to non-hell-believers?
I didn't. You asked what would happen to those who didn't obey me. Nobody will be compelled to obey me. They will have to obey Biblical Law, and all Biblical punishments will be enforced by the Federal government.Don't avoid the question.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.I've always liked Scotland better than U.S.
Exactly. Didymus probably went and edited out the Seven Warlocks.Besides, it's Wikipedia. Anyone can edit it.
