  • Hello. My name is Agwimbe

Hello - I have not yet had the pleasure of reading the glorious posts in this forum, but am so pleased to have found a loving community of Christian people who are here for one single purpose: To worship God.

I hope to make many good friends here.

    Where is everybody from?

If there are any fellow Jesus-lovers from around the Ghana area, please get in touch.

All the best and kindest regards from a happy Christian.

    Agwimbe

    Hi, Agwimbe, and welcome!

I see you missed the instructions at the top of the page. I'll re-post them here for you:

Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us:

what church you go to and

what your favorite Bible verse is and

how you came to find Jesus.
    Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

      My apologies!

      OK Reverend.

I am a member of the Pentecostal church. My favourite Bible passage is from the Song of Solomon (Chapter 7 Verse 3) and I first found Jesus when I nearly burned the whole house down - his face was imprinted on a scorch mark on the wall.

        Thank you.

What do you find so compelling about Song of Solomon 7:3?

3 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.

How does it speak to you about God?

            God's? Or Solomon's?

Why would God need to "appreciate" His own creation?

This isn't logical. That'd be like the chef telling everyone what a great dinner he'd made. Or an artist writing a review of his own sculpture exhibition.

Oh goodness, Reverend, you don't think this negro has come here expecting to talk about white ladies' naughty bits, do you?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Pentecostal? You don't do any of that ridiculous "speaking in tongues" nonsense, do you?

Hello. I am a white man. I am from the land that Jesus Blessed. It is called America. It is a long, long way from where you live - it is many moon's travel across the sea.

In America, we do not live in mud huts and our women do not walk around naked. We do not put a bone through our nose, nor do we say, "Oooga-Booga!" and shake our spears. In fact, spears are rare in America.

We have many cars and whiteman's silver birds. We live in real houses made of concrete or bricks (those things are like big stones.)

If you pray to Jesus, He will help you in your life. He will not help you come to America though, because there are many of your people here already and they all seem angry and dissatisfied.

                            'You people'?

For the record everybody here, I am a white man. I was born in America and I lived there for the first 30 years of my life. I find the people of Ghana more respectful than many I met during the first 30 years of my life in America.

I do pray to Jesus, and he has saved me - but I have no desire for him to help me back to America, because there are too many narrow minded people there using religion as an excuse to be racist.

Oh, and I also live in a brick house - yes, it was built by black people, and I paid them a fair wage to do so - sorry if this upsets anybody here.

I would also like to thank the forum moderators for jumping to the conclusion that I am black and changing my username from my real name to a racist reference.

Despite the fact that he loves you all very dearly, I don't believe Jesus is impressed with any of you.

                            Shame.

But God did see that the world he had made was good... is that not appreciation?
